Happy Thursday everyone! π
Can you believe Iβm already halfway through my 90-day plan? Time is flying so fast!
The last two weeks (Weeks 9 & 10) were all about our epic road trip through Portugal, camping under the stars, soaking up that authentic Portuguese culture, and chasing beautiful beaches. Pure magic!
My gym membership wrapped up at the start of the month. With the road trip coming up, it didnβt make sense to renew for just a few weeks weβd barely use. So instead, we focused on hitting the right amount of protein and racking up tons of steps with lots of walking. Simple but effective!
Camping in Portugal was an absolute blast! We met so many lovely people at the campsite, mostly retirees and long-term residents, who happily shared their camping stories and tips with us. I loved the helpful community vibe; everyone looks out for each other.
On day three, the weather flipped from sunny perfection to heavy wind gusts that lasted almost two and a half days. Not fun at all! We debated packing up and heading back to Spain, but we stuck it out, and thank goodness we did! The skies cleared into five glorious, full-sunshine days. We drove around exploring charming towns and stunning beaches. Absolute paradise!
Food highlights? I finally tried Bacalhau Γ BrΓ‘s (one of Cristiano Ronaldoβs favorites!) and PastΓ©is de Nata in both original and almond flavors. Yum! While I was feeling under the weather, I kept it simple with high carbs and lighter protein. Breakfast stayed consistent, my usual oatmeal with yogurt and fruit. Lunch was often a sandwich, noodles, soup, or a quick snack like Ritz biscuits (I was so famished I devoured them all!). Overall, I ate at maintenance calories or slightly above for the week.
Back in Spain, we celebrated with some shared tapas. Next-day weigh-in? I actually lost weight and body fat despite eating more! Body fat down 0.9%, total weight -1kg, and subcutaneous fat -0.7%. Feeling so motivated, Iβm on the right track, progressing slowly but surely toward my goal! πͺ
Only 42 days to go! Fingers crossed nothing else pops up so I can stick to the plan until the first week of June. ππΌ
P.S. I saw many of you diving into the strength training videos and kicking off your workouts, so awesome! Iβll start watching this weekend and figure out some no-equipment alternatives I can do while weβre on the road.
Howβs everyone holding up? Have you stayed consistent with your nutrition and training? How did you successfully curb those cravings?
