“Thats a travel” 🤮🤢
Curious what everyone thinks🤔🤔:
The “that’s a travel” crowd is interesting to me. It feels like some people act as if calling a travel…automatically means the move wasn’t skilled or effective. If you’ve actually played at a high level, you know you can’t spend the entire game thinking through every rule in real time. Basketball is about reacting, creating, and playing off instinct.
The game has always evolved because players push boundaries. New footwork, new finishes, new step-backs, new ways to create separation—every generation finds something the previous one didn’t do. Creativity is part of what makes basketball beautiful.
Obviously there have to be rules, but why do so many fans focus more on policing the game than appreciating the skill it takes to innovate? If a move is effective and forces defenses to adapt, isn’t that part of the natural evolution of basketball?
Are modern players getting away with too much, or are we just watching the game evolve like it always has? 🤔🏀
