A local youth pastor and friend of mine gave me a few churches that have gym spaces. I just cold called that list. I got a few "no we don't let anyone use our gym space", or "You have to have a member present or be a member." I have a few follow ups, and I have one gym that I can only do free camps or clinics. The director gave me some dates in July to host a camp. Progress not perfection. Go for no! A yes is after the next phone call!

Players strive to get the ✅ to shoot. It’s earned by efficiency on the floor. I checked in with my trainee off of her second summer league tournament. Her assistant coach is new and doesn’t really know her ability. Her head coach gave her the green light to keep shooting! Our training sessions have paid off! 🔥

Hey all! I was just named varsity boys head coach. My first head coaching gig after 4 years as an assistant. We’re having a “meet the coach” open gym next week for returning and prospective players. My plan is to have a brief intro of myself and my coaching style philosophy for about 5 minutes for the parents/players and then have the boys go 5v5 while I mingle and talk with parents and/or players. I may be overthinking this but anyone have any suggestions on doing anything more with this opportunity? It is a recruiting opportunity as there will be players there looking for new homes. Thanks!
