Dribbling Too Much?
I was told growing up that dribbling too much was bad. Coaches preach one or two dribbles MAX when driving to the basket. Not a bad concept, but this is outdated.
During our high-level workouts today, Danny and I had our athletes use MORE dribbles, upwards of 3, 4, or even 5 dribbles when driving to the rim.
Why? A few reasons.
  1. More dribbles threw off the defender's timing. They never knew when our athlete would score.
  2. Allows offense to get in position to use their BUMPS.
  3. Offense was always in control.
Of course there are times where too many dribbles are bad. What are your thoughts on the use of MORE dribbles?👇
