Spam comments -- keep or delete?

I've got a new short that has attracted some spammers -- touting an app or something. Nothing obscene. I know sometimes content creators deliberately "hate post," featuring subjects that get people to comment, which is apparently all some platforms cares about: engagement is "good," even if everyone who comments hates you. Although that may be more true of Tiktok than YT. I almost never look at Tktk. So my question is: should I bother to delete the comments? In that little "great job!" response you always get in YT Studio, YT was all excited about my getting more comments than usual. lol! Either way, I'll block them so they can't post again.
