Days 3,4,5,6.
Days 3–5 were pretty simple on my end. I moved through the lessons, read everything carefully, and double checked that what I had already put together still felt aligned. Day 6 was a different experience. It asked for a level of clarity that you don’t always realize you’re missing until you’re actually asked to articulate it. What felt clear in my head needed more refinement when I put it into words. I’m really grateful for that part of the process, because now everything feels much more solid. I can see how it all fits together in a way that feels clear and steady. @Eddi Pinegar @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Dajana K. @Jaye Brunner

I can only imagine how clarity early in your YT journey will pay off in the long run. Not My Story! 😂🤣 @Cat PInegar you are doing great if you already have clarity on your audience, the one you are talking to. Once I narrowed down who I am talking to, it has made scripting so much easier! Congratulations on cruising through the lessons! 👏🏽🎉
Day 26 RETENTION
We went into retention, I’ve never really looked at this before in a real way. I would just make a video, post it, and move on. But actually seeing where people drop off matters . On my last video I lost about 60% of viewers in the first 40 seconds. This is actually the feedback we’ve been needing the whole time. It’s not that people don’t like the content…It’s that we’re losing them before they even get into it. What’s also really interesting is doing this at the very beginning of my channel and being able to watch how everything is growing in real time. It feels like I’m learning this stuff while the foundation is still being built, which is actually pretty cool. I’m also running three different types of playlists right now — cooking, philosophy, and meditation — so it’s going to be interesting to see how each one performs and what changes I’ll need to make for each. I’m starting to see that they might all need slightly different approaches to keep people watching. Today helped me understand that the first 15 seconds really matter. Not in a complicated way… just in a “get to the point, show something interesting, and give people a reason to stay” kind of way. Also realizing that pacing matters way more than I thought.Less explaining… more showing.Less warming up… more getting into it. I’m not trying to go back and fix everything I’ve already done — that’s where it can get overwhelming. I’m just taking this and applying it to the next video. One small improvement at a time. Kind of like yoga… you don’t force the whole practice to be perfect on day one. You just show up, stay aware, and make small adjustments. Over time it starts to flow. That’s how I’m looking at this now. Appreciate everyone in here — we’re all figuring it out together. @Cat PInegar @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Jaye Brunner @Dajana K.

This is definitely where you have to remove all emotions and focus on skill development! As the retention has increased on my videos, it is confirmation that what we are learning here for FREE has increadible value. All the workbook stuff and videos pale in comparison in value to what you @Eddi Pinegar and the rest of our support group is giving! Absolutely huge. Like the Mastercard commercial says, "Priceless"
Day 17 - Shorts Strategy: Fastest Path to Exposure
What a journey this is! My first two years, no shorts. Trying to get back in the game in September of 2025 I started doing "Walk and Talk" Shorts. I did 14 Sept - Nov. I did this challenge in December of 2025, since then I have posted 53. In late February, I felt the shorts were screwing up my analytics, so I unlisted 19 scheduled for March 😂🤣. So here I am in March with Alexa's voice in my head saying, "Even a few views on shorts is EXPOSURE!" My biggest takeaway today, I need to SLOW down and take serious developing my skills in word smithing good scripts. Shorts are the perfect place to start, a lesson from @Adam Tinkoff, who does fabulous shorts on his channel! Questions I have still lingering in my head, 1. What is a good description to write with shorts and 2. When is the best time to post them? I think Alexa said mornings and early evenings. I did write, film, and edit a short today, it's attached. Let me know what you think. I will be posting my shorts on Sunday Evenings and Tuesday Mornings. My long videos go out on Thursday evenings. I did film to other videos to batch today, I didn't write the script, I had help from AI. With all that, I am back in the short business on my channel! Exposure is key if you want to grow. Thanks for your support @Jenny Sharratt @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Eddi Pinegar @Cat PInegar @Ricardo Solomons @Casey Hamlin @Adam Tinkoff @Dajana K.

hm, I have never heard of "eye contact" in editing! I have no idea if CapCut offers such a thing! It would be useful for sure! I do know CapCut has a voice enhancement feature that helps with keeping the volume the same. I think you are speaking of keeping the energy up or am I missing something. This right here is the kind of feedback I love about this group! Thank you @Dr. Saundra Stancil !

@Dr. Saundra Stancil thank you for taking the time to look this up! Always learning something new on this journey!
Day 29 Done. The hard numbers.
I posted 3 long-form videos and 15 shorts this month. The numbers are moving in the right direction, but there’s a specific lesson in the data I didn't expect. Most experts say to double down on the long-form game. However, my highly edited shorts are showing much stronger performance, growth, and retention. More importantly: I enjoy making them. I’ll finish this challenge tomorrow, but my strategy moving forward is shifting. I’m tuning out the "expert" noise and following the evidence. The short game is working for me, so that's where I'm headed.

I have been told, "The numbers do not lie." @Adam Tinkoff I think this entire YT journey is one with lots of pivots, learning curves and finding what fits us as individuals. I do like your shorts, they are very informative!
Day 2
Although my channel is still sitting there empty, the name isn’t new to me. I’ve already spent time with it, turned it over, and worked through something similar before. I still showed up for this though… just to stay open and see if anything new wanted to come through. Nothing shifted. No new direction, no sudden clarity around a different name. So I’m going to share it here—and I’m curious what you feel from it. My channel is Yoga Remedy. What do you think this channel is about? And what’s your honest take on the name? @Eddi Pinegar @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Jaye Brunner @Dajana K.

The name alone lends a breathe of calm to me just reading it. @Cat PInegar I am excited for you as you walk through this challenge and bring your channel to life! Keep going, you are well on your way!
