I spent over $180 across 3 different vibe coding platforms this year before I canceled every subscription The problem was always the same: I would be 45 minutes into debugging an interactive dashboard, and the tool would hit an arbitrary credit limit The platform locked my session, demanded another $20 upgrade, and kept my code trapped inside their proprietary web editor I only got full control when I moved to a self-hosted vibe coding stack. Instead of paying a third party for compute markups, I deployed the open-source vibesdk directly on my own cloudflare infrastructure. Today, my personal app generation pipeline runs on 3 simple layers: - Cloudflare workers runtime: I deployed vibesdk to cloudflare workers using D1 for database storage and KV for fast session state. The worker handles the multi-step generation loop: planning the user flows, drafting the component files, and self-correcting syntax errors - Wildcard preview routing: I mapped a single wildcard CNAME record (*.mybrand.com) to the worker. Every time I prompt a new tool idea, the system spins up an isolated preview subdomain in 15 seconds - Raw model gateway: I route the generation prompts through cloudflare AI gateway straight to gemini and claude. I pay raw API token prices with zero monthly platform fee Once the core logic is validated on the preview subdomain, I export the full repository straight to github and finish production hardening in claude code My monthly vibe-coding bill dropped from $60 a seat to about $3 in raw API tokens, and I never get locked out mid-build Are you still paying monthly subscriptions for browser AI builders, or have you started running open-source developer tooling on your own cloud accounts?

The bottleneck thread is the one I want to add to. I ran a service business for years before I ever touched a camera, and the lesson came from my inbox, not my analytics. Every client asked me the same four or five questions. I answered them in email, for free, hundreds of times. One day I pasted those answers into a doc and counted. That doc was a product. I just had not noticed. For a channel this works the same way. Before your next recording session, open your sent mail or your comment replies and list every question you have answered more than three times. Mine was 11 questions after one hour of copy and paste. Yours is probably 15 to 20. That list is your next 20 videos. No niche guessing, no trend chasing. You already know the answers. You already know which ones people pay attention to, because they keep asking. One mistake to avoid: do not pick the questions that are fun for you. Pick the ones that repeat. What question do you get asked so often you are tired of typing it?
