If you only put your CTA (call to action) at the end of the video, most of your audience will never see it.
Here is where to put it instead.
1. Homepage link at the top of your channel page. Your most important link should be the first thing people see when they visit your profile.
2. Inside the video before the average view duration drops off. Check your analytics. Find where viewers stop watching. Your CTA needs to happen before that moment.
3. First or second line of your description. Those are the only lines visible without clicking "more". Use them.
4. Pinned comment. Stays visible at the top of every comment section. Viewers who are engaged enough to read comments will see it.
I got this wrong for a long time. I was relying entirely on end screens and wondering why nobody was clicking through. Once I moved my CTAs earlier and used all four placements, it made an immediate difference.
Which of these are you already doing? And which one did you not know about?
