Hi all!
I'm new here... trying to navigate this comunty (which is also something completely new for me). Looking forward to give and get a bit of support, but I'm a slow learner... 😄

@Miss X. You’re in the right place for support. This community has people just starting and feeling lost, and also lots of experienced people willing to help. Your dog Miss Mimi looks adorable. I have a Shihtzu that’s worshipped by me and my family. Good luck with everything😊
Happy holidays to everyone - Quick win to share
Nothing compared to you all but it feels great to have these milestones completed. I started last week to start a new challenge (30 days), I am following a book by Russell Brunson and documenting my journey on YouTube. After a long time I finally started seeing new subs on my 6 year old almost dormant channel. So definitely feeling encouraged and energized. Keeping it totally raw, very little editing. I found that I do better where I am demonstrating something, I don't struggle with words and feels very natural. I have a whiteboard so I have started doodling on it and talking to the camera. Came out quite natural, now hope that my audience likes it. Wishing everyone happy holidays.

@Nurul Chowdhury. Congratulations! A win is a win no matter how inconsequential it may seem. Keep up the good work😊
viewer comment lost?
Hi there! Today I saw a comment that was posted 2 weeks ago (!) on my channel but I didn't receive any notifications. I went to the comments tab in YT studio because I wanted to reply to that comment but now I can't find it anywhere -- not in my "pending approval" nor "published", nor in my notifications history (when you click on the bell). Has anyone experienced the same problem?

I have also come across a few new comments just learning from previous videos. There was no notification on my channel or in YT studio. I thought it was just me because I’m still figuring things out. It’s disappointing to miss an opportunity to engage with people who took time to make comments especially when you’re a new channel trying to build a community. Merry Christmas BTW😊🎄
Do I have what it takes?
@Mike Bayer Your Question! My answer: Right now, I’m painfully aware that I lack patience—with myself and with others. This realization is heavy and difficult to face. It creates tension and discomfort, not only within me but also for the people on my team, and that weighs on me deeply.

@Rudi Strahl your self awareness and obvious wish for self improvement is refreshing. Sending you positive thoughts😊

How many videos to start with
Hey ya'll. I have an existing channel, but I am going to start a new and totally different one in a new niche. I haven't found a lot of resources for how many video's to start with. Some say start with multiple so YT has more data for your niche. Then I have heard where if you have more than one, that viewers may get off to soon and YT will give you negative marks. What's ya'lls opinion including Alexa's. Anyone had success with multiple vids to start and if so how many? Dropped at once or scheduled over how long a period of time?

Here are my thoughts after listening to Alexa, Rob the Maritimer and some other YT mentors regularly for the last year. The bigger question is how often you can realistically post, because consistency is very important to build a community of watchers. I’m in agreement with @Mike Bayer and @Shelina Virjee. If you can commit immediately to posting one video per week, then I would recommend not holding content back. If it may take you some time before you can post regularly, you could make and hold some videos back and schedule them to be released one per week to buy you some time. I know Alexa is an advocate of batch creating content to maintain consistency. Best of luck @Ren Ramsey😊
