Hi Had a call with a D2C supplement brand owner, anchored him at 7k USD. Said I'd be open to taking lower if base was slightly reduced and had percentage of spend / performance incentive with KPI. Judging by his reaction, I may have priced myself too low lol... He's offering to start on a trial, where should I set my sights on a trial rate for 2 weeks. Should it just be half of the 7k? I fumbled on the call a bit, not sure how to frame for performance versus actual hours. He ideally wants someone fulltime, but considering part time alternative. He's going to present an offer of a couple different options. Full time, part time, base with %, and maybe some others. What KPIs should we also align on, cause so far i've only been a CS full time and was getting squeezed so hard. In-house, was just sheer volume. literally as much as you could do. And agency was deliverables per account. I was working 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 2 and a half years, without any time off. Hence me taking the last few months off to waste away. Some days I started at 8am and wouldn't leave the office until 10pm. Advice on better work life management would be great too! I want to live and die by results. I made it clear that I'd be aiming to handle 3 or so clients, without risk of dilution to output quality for them. Atleast broke out of the frame of being an employee. What base and percentage of spend should I be aiming for? Any other feedback welcome thanks.
