Your #FeatureStory - Posting Party Day #2 🎉
Today's inspiration is the story behind the group. CREATE A NEW POST (communities) and share your "why." In 100–150 words, tell the story of: - Why you started your Skool group or business - The problem you wanted to solve - Or the people you felt called to bring together Add another GIF that captures the essence of your why. Invite others to comment if it resonates. This is about connection, not polish. Remember: It's not polite (or in your best interest) to post and ghost 👻. After you post, comment on at least 2 other posts! 😉 I'll create a new post for my own community as an example... Oh, and if you are wondering why I am posting at such a weird time of day, it's because of the kids' schedules. I have to either post at noon Bali time or noon EST. It's Tuesday in Bali right now, so I figured, why not?!?!?

Did you leave your "jingle" but forget to "mingle"??? 😂
Thank you to everyone who has already shared their #headline for today's prompt, I promise I will read them all sometime today! One of the important parts of the party is that you interact with others' posts and get to know some of your fellow community members. Imagine you walked into a party and yelled, "Who's ready for a good time????" and then you turned around and walked out! If you posted and ghosted, that is essentially what you've done! Building a business is about building relationships and getting to know people even if it doesn't seem immediately apparent that they might be interested in your community - their sister-in-law might be, their neighbour might be.... And even if it doesn't lead to a lead, it's still a nice way to connect with another community owner. So get back out there, and start commenting! 😉

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS.

#Feature Story: My why came from a 'pain'
I won a 24 hour pinned post in the Skool Hub. I was really excited, so I made a VSL (finally!) and optimized my about page. I did "everything right", at least if I’m to believe all the information I gathered over the past couple of months. I even had my about page reviewed by someone that really knows his stuff, who said it was one of the best he had read on the platform. Well… My pinned post failed… That got me thinking. Is it the niche? Is it me? The artwork? What I wrote in the post in the Skool Hub? Wouldn't it be very valuable to have feedback from the people that looked, WHY didn't they join? Because we can do everything right, but what actually happens when someone lands on your page, you will never really know. That is the owners blindspot.. I have asked the people in my group, but they are in because they liked it, or they joined because they like ME, so they probably won’t be the best judges. So who do you turn to? And will they be honest and brave to speak their truth? In a kind way.... I reached out to Joseph to tell him about my idea. But if you knew me a bit, you would have seen me pivot in my first community. I just couldn't find my place in it. And I thought everytime when I switched: this is it! Until it wasn't... In the very first beginning I had tought of starting groups to engage, collaborate or to connect, but then I found others had already done that, so I figured that does not make any sense to start as a group. In the last weeks I noticed how I really enjoyed to spotlight people and their communities in my community. More than posting my own sh*t.. I messages Joseph again and he fully supported me. So a couple of days ago I made a new community, with the support of @Chris Brandwein. In there you get a members perspective on your about page and community to help you increase your conversion and engagement. Doing these reviews comes so naturally and I enjoy it so much. And the funny thing is, the community is lively already.. Sometimes things just click!
