#MondayMythBuster
Create a brand new post outlining a myth that people have about your area of expertise or the topic of your group. Use a compelling hook in your title, describe the myth, and then explain why it's a myth. Finish off the post by inviting people to check out your group to learn more. Then, find two other posts to be enlightened by and leave a comment. Don't get too wordy. There's a fine line between too much info and not enough info. Trust me. I go over the line all the time! šŸ˜‚ TIP: Hashtag prompts are bonus prompts, so if you do this post, you still get your promo post of the day. šŸ˜‰ I can't wait to see what myths you bust!

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! šŸ˜‰ This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS.

Please Introduce Yourself
One of the most important things I've learned since becoming an online entrepreneur is that the most important thing you can do to grow your business is to build relationships. Many of us (myself included) have rushed to promote our groups and services that we care so deeply about. And it only makes sense - we are excited about what we are doing! Today, I'd like to invite you to take a step back and introduce yourself to the group by answering the following questions: 1. Who are you personally? 2. Who are you professionally? 3. What is something you love doing outside of work? 4. What is something surprising about you? As you open up and make more connections, you will find that not only are people more interested in what you do, but they will also be more interested in helping you make connections with other people they know! šŸ˜‰ After you introduce yourself, please scroll through the other introductions and add a comment to someone you have something in common with or would like to know more about. 😊 Please add your introduction in the comments below! ā¬‡ļø

Winging it = Authentic?
A couple of months ago, I co-hosted a workshop called, "The Presentation Secrets You Don’t Know You’re Missing.ā€ During the Q&A, someone asked about winging her talks because she had been told it was more authentic. Let’s bust this myth wide-open! Myth - ā€œIf I prepare, I’ll sound scripted.ā€ Truth- Nope! When we wing it, 99.9999999% of the time (okay I have no scientific data to back up that stat) we sound anything but authentic because we’re stumbling around, repeating things, missing points, using no real logical flow. And how does this come across to an audience that is having to work harder to keep up with the message you are trying to convey? Where is the confidence in and connection to the speaker who is rambling? Preparing in the right way, even if someone drops a last minute talk on you, makes all the difference for your audience! Rather than shutting your authenticity down, your authenticity has a chance to ring out! This is exactly one of the skill sets we work on in my Skool commmnity! Come learn more about who the Public Speaker’s Growth Hub helps! It just might be the next community you need to join!
