When you hear the word cardio, what’s the first thing that pops in your mind?
A lot of people default to the treadmill but there’s so much more to cardio!
Cardio stands for cardiovascular meaning we are working out the cardiovascular system or as others refer to it as the aerobic system. So when you think about getting your blood pumping, increasing your heart rate.. a lot of activities fall into this category of exercise, with some exceptions of course.

Sprinting
Jump rope
Biking
Climbing stairs
Dancing
Swimming
Running
Rowing
Don’t be tied down to the treadmill as your only cardio source! Some of these activities are completely free ;)
