Cardio ≠ Treadmill
When you hear the word cardio, what’s the first thing that pops in your mind? A lot of people default to the treadmill but there’s so much more to cardio! Cardio stands for cardiovascular meaning we are working out the cardiovascular system or as others refer to it as the aerobic system. So when you think about getting your blood pumping, increasing your heart rate.. a lot of activities fall into this category of exercise, with some exceptions of course. At Temple - Gym & Wellness we are all about fitness, wellness, & faith. Our courses cover topics like this provided alongside guided online coaching so you don’t have to guess. Some of my favorite forms of cardio are: Sprinting Jump rope Biking Climbing stairs Dancing Swimming Running Rowing Don’t be tied down to the treadmill as your only cardio source! The Scale Lie!
The scale is one data point. It is not the whole story 🚫 Here’s what the scale doesn’t tell you: • How much muscle you’ve built • How your clothes are fitting • How your energy has improved • How much better you’re sleeping • How your relationship with food has changed • How much stronger you’ve become Water retention, hormonal shifts, salt intake, time of day – all of these can swing the number by 2-5 pounds on any given day. That number is not a verdict on your progress. That number does not define you! At Temple - Gym & Wellness we are not your average fitness group. We are believers who take our health seriously because we know who made the sacrifice for us to live fully. Measure your health by how you feel, how you move, and how you show up. The scale is a tool in your toolbox, not a judge 🙏🏽 Your body is a Temple. Are you training like it?

@Lisa Vanderveen I’ve learned while working with Rudy that some scales & even equipment at the gym need to be recalibrated so he’s not lying about the gaslighting👀
