Skool Stuck? Free Masterclass
The skool CLASSIFIEDS own @Des Dreckett is hosting a live Q&A today to help you set your community unstuck. Here is what he has to say: Got a Skool community that's stuck? You're not alone, and most of the advice floating around doesn't actually fix the problem. This live session is built for people who already have a community running but aren't seeing the growth or engagement they expected. I'll open with a quick 15 minutes on what's genuinely working for me right now, no fluff, just the real levers that are moving the needle at the moment. Then it's your turn. The first few members to drop their community link will get direct, live feedback, right there in the session, on what's holding their community back and what to fix first. Whether you're struggling to grow, keep members engaged, or turn your community into something sustainable, this is a chance to get honest answers instead of generic advice. Stick around for the open Q&A afterwards too, bring whatever question's been on your mind. If you want a deeper look at your community beyond what we can cover live, there's also the option to book a Community Audit Call afterwards.

Oooo, fantastic! @Des Dreckett, you're a force and a ever-present supportive oracle. It's so easy to feel on track and then suddenly find that someone else's ideas based on their vision is dictating our actions in a way that adds mud to the mix.

@Des Dreckett - is there a replay? Because I blasted right through it. Way too much time in the driver's seat of life.
What good is traffic when no one stays????
No matter how many people join your community, if they don't stay you have a major leaky bucket problem! On Friday in my other community, The Course and Community Build Lab (affectionately known as The Build Lab), I will be hosting a masterclass called the 10 Ways You Can Improve Member Retention to Grow Your Community and Increase Profits - because who doesn't want that, right??? This session is open to all members and a replay will be available if you cannot make the live session. And here is my promise to you: These tips are NOT AI-generated. I did not go to Claude and ask it for a list of community retention tips! These strategies come from years of my own experience as well as the experience of clients I've worked with both inside and outside of Skool. Some of the things I'm going to talk about I've never heard discussed inside Skool. Have I got your attention? This session is normally offered for a one-time fee of $47, but you can access it by joining the Standard tier of the Build Lab for only $27 and also get access to the Your Best Skool Community program and our live bi-weekly calls!

I feel like there are two different types of groups. If a group targets a specific endgoal with a learning curve and a measurable, attainable outcome, it's natural for members to graduate and leave - like why keep paying for college once we get our Doctorate? But the types of groups that contain an atmosphere and a culture for whatever ongoing support or feeling they want, churn should not be the norm. That's where this is GOLD. Probably the Skool owners graduating members aren't looking for help in this way anyway...
🔎 Tip #3 - Your Group Description should make one promise
This post is part of the Skool Discovery & Growth Boost Tips Series. My goal is simple - help Skool group owners get found, and turn more visitors into members. -- Your Group Description has very little space. Trying to squeeze your whole business into it usually makes the message weaker, not stronger. I see descriptions like this quite often: “We help coaches grow their audience, build a brand, create content, launch offers, improve sales, and gain more freedom.” There may be several good benefits there. But a cold visitor is left wondering which one matters most. Your Group Description should continue the main promise introduced by your Group Name and Cover Image. For example: “Help Skoolers turn their Skool conversations into paying clients.” One clear audience. One main result. One reason to click. You can explain the method, features, bonuses, and other outcomes on your About Page. The Group Description only needs to help the right visitor understand the main promise and take the next step. A simple check 👇 Read your Group Description and ask: - What is the one promise I want a cold visitor to remember? When several promises compete, choose the one closest to the result your ideal member already wants. Clear promises are easier to understand - and easier to continue across your Cover and About Page. -- 🐬 Curious how well your About Page turns visitors into members? 👇 Comment AUDIT and I’ll run a free DFY audit of your About Page copy and visuals. I’ll share your score, the #1 conversion fix I’d make first, and a useful summary here in the thread - so you and other Skoolers can learn from the feedback too. Prefer private feedback? DM me AUDIT and I’ll send the same audit privately.
