Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen of BOS! Today I wanted to share with you my take on one of the biggest staples in masculine perfumery throughout history, Azzaro's 1978 release: Azzaro Pour Homme. What a fragrance! I had been looking forward on getting a bottle of this fragrance ever since I saw it for the first time; the current minimalist version of its bottle make it look surprisingly modern and sober yet pretty old school and classy, one of the most timeless bottles I've come across, I'd say. The Juice itself hits that way as well since it smells soapy and masculine clean without getting into cliché modern or too dated for new generations. Azzaro themselves mention this very fragrance being composed of over 300 ingredients! Yet the note breakdown can be summed up into the following simple notes: Heavy Lavender, Basil, Clary Sage and star Anise with a hint of Lemon and Bergamot in the top; Cedar, Juniper Berries, Vetiver and a touch of patchouli in the middle; and Oakmoss, Musk, Leather and Amber for the bottom notes. Overall, this fragrance smells Herbal, Spicy and very barber-like soapy clean. The performance is great for the price point as well; a solid 8 hour longevity on skin, 10 on clothing and good projection and sillage during the first two and a half hours. As a side note, if you want to try this DNA for half the already great price of Azzaro Pour Homme, you can try Cuba Black by Cuba Paris; It comes as close as 90% to the original APH just a little less spicy and more into the green fresh side of the composition.

Good morning gents! Kicking off 2026 reviews of fragrances I have decants for. Pretty behind on them now, I think I've gone trhough 4-5 decants since my last review in December 2025. I'm a big fan of the Bottled line, so of course I had to try this one out... a freshie, prime candidate for a Bottled Gym scent along Bottled Sport. This is a VERY fesh scent. Opens up 100% citrusy, but with a fruity sweetness accompanying it all, no doubt the green apple accord that is usually listed. Main spotlight is on the fresh, not so zesty citruses. I expected it to come out a tad zestier, as it also lists ginger in the mid, but no, not that much. It's more like a smoother citrus. In the mid, the ginger to the very least keeps reminding you of the citrusy and ffesh spicy nature of the fragrance. I do not get much cinnamon or, very thankfully, clove that are listed. THe floral aspect provided from the geranium does come out rosie-fresh, but not overly prominent. At the final drydown, we have vetiver listed only. Again, don't pick up any prominent vetiver here, it's still a citrusy, sweetish and slightly fresh spicy and floral scent. Here's the thing: performance is abysmal. Maybe I wasn't picking up many of th enotes, becasue the fragrance goes from the opening to no longer detectable so quickly. Figured I could get a bottle and have it as a gym scent, but even as such, feel it didn't make it even past my warm-up. 1-2 hours, and it's gone. As in, GONE. This is a shame, as I really do enjoy the scent, which is very VERY gym- and leisure friendly. Conclusion: Do I like it? Yes, it is a very ncie scent to my nose. Did I enjoy the decants? Yes I did. Full bottle worthy, for me? Hard pass. The issue is longevity. It's just one of the worst performers I have tested to date. Again, it's a shame.
