I picked one of these up today. It’s very different than the EDT, EDP, Parfum, and Elixir. The opening is a blast of smoky woods with some western oud in the background. It remind me of a more wearable Amouage Timber. It projects loud on my skin and I can tell the longevity will be in line with the elixir or even longer. Sample this first, especially if you like sweet scents or were hoping it would smell like the rest of the line. I do really enjoy it though. I’ll give it a bunch more wearings soon.

Today I went with Les Dieux aux Bains from Hellenist, and this is exactly the type of fresh fragrance I enjoy in the heat. It opens bright and invigorating with lemon, juniper berry, eucalyptus and rosemary, but it never turns into a basic citrus freshie. There is a cool mineral quality running through it that gives me the feeling of wet stone, rushing water and clean air near a waterfall. As it dries down, the freshness becomes smoother, greener and slightly earthy. The patchouli, vetiver, moss and modern amber materials add some depth without making it heavy. It smells clean, aromatic and masculine to me, but it is still completely unisex. The best part is that it feels natural and refreshing rather than overly sweet, loud or synthetic. This is a very good Phoenix hot-weather scent—fresh enough for the early morning, but with enough mineral and woody character to remain interesting once the temperature starts climbing. Les Dieux aux Bains smells like stepping beneath a cold waterfall on a hot Mediterranean day: clean, cooling and quietly sophisticated. Don’t expect a beast. This fragrance is built around freshness and transparency rather than raw power. I get around 6–8 hours of longevity, with moderate projection for the first 1–2 hours before it settles into a pleasant personal scent bubble. Sillage is moderate early on, then becomes more intimate. It isn’t meant to fill a room. Instead, it stays clean, elegant, and refined throughout the wear. For a fresh aromatic-mineral fragrance, I think the performance is very respectable and well-balanced.
