Well today I was wondering what to wear and a brother pointed out I haven’t talked much about my attars in awhile. So today was a blind grab and here is my 2010 release of Al Mas. Now realize at this point in time, Amouage as a house was changing over from all oils, Oud and other naturals to a house putting out EDP. Now they were still using a tremendous amount of naturals but growing into the western market. Wonderful and smooth. Spicy, woody and mildly sweet. This attar never really explodes off skin like you expect something from Amouage. Even other attars this one sits closer and more intimate. While the sillage and projection are great it’s got a reserved soul that asks you gently to spend time together. Simply a master class in parfum. Longevity is also excellent. Clothing is a day or two. Beard is excellent after brushing in and gives scent trails leaving you looking. Skin is good at around 5-6 strong hours with another 5-6 as a skin scent. When you look at the history of parfum and especially recently(last 30 years), the naturals in this are not allowed to be sold any more. Tragedy imho. 9.3/10
