Is there any value-for-money fragrance house superior to Lalique (chiefly a glass company)? Jacques Bogart, maybe? Lalique’s Encre Indigo is a new(er) line consisting of prominent tea and vetiver notes. Plunge vetiver in a pitcher of refrigerated iced tea overnight and in the morning this is the scent you get. I’ve read some reviewers claiming this isn’t a warm-weather scent. It emphatically is. It’s a hefty gulp of earthy iced tea on a hot and humid summer afternoon. Utterly refreshing. Excellent longevity and projection (EDP). At the discounters’ price, snag a couple of backup bottles. This is BDK quality at Lattafa prices.

Just got this one delivered yesterday! Had been looking at this one for a while, but had trouble finding it at a price I was willing to pay for... I was only finding it, when in stock, in mid-high $40s. Well, for July Sales, got it for about $29 after coupons and what not! Reportedly an inspiration of the discontinued YSL L'Homme Ultime. I didn't have the pleasure of trying it, but I do like OG L'Homme EDT very much. Performance was not good enough on me unfortunately. Simplest description I've seen on this one is the OG L'Homme with additional zestiness from the grapefruit and fresh spicyness from the ginger. First impressions, that's just it, and I'm loving it so far! The only "But" I have come up with is the rose note. It's rather prominent and jammy, but it's nowhere near something I wouldn't enjoy. It's also said that performance on this one is exceptionally good. Will be wearing it today to get a good idea. Scent-wise though, it's looking amazing!

This was a blind buy after seeing it recommended in an earlier RMRS post, and I’m glad I took the chance because it exceeded my expectations. Vintage Radio opens with a rich, slightly fruity sweetness before settling into a beautifully smooth heart of lavender and woods, while the creamy palo santo, sandalwood, amber, and subtle vanilla in the dry down give it a warm, sophisticated character that feels both modern and comforting. Performance has been excellent on my skin, consistently giving me 8–10 hours of longevity with a solid scent bubble for the first couple of hours before settling into an inviting personal scent. The sillage is noticeable without being overpowering, earning several compliments while remaining refined enough for the office, dinner, or an evening out. This has quickly become one of my favorite fragrances, and it’s one I’ll happily keep in regular rotation throughout the fall, winter, and cooler spring days.
