BOS Story Poll Series Question 1
I'm creating a new story poll graphic, at least once a day, to poll the inner circle. This is a level 8 project that I will use to continue to gain infomation and data on my journey to level 9. At the end of the series, I will compile the data to report the overall opinion of the brotherhood on the story poll series. Please take part each time you see one of these, as I am considering this a personal study to earn respect and confidence as a fragrance enthusiast here in the brotherhood. I can only learn and grow with your help brothers. Thanks for taking part as I will try to make this interesting for everyone to review as I make my way to the elusive level 9. @Antonio Centeno

Victory by G. Bellini/Lidl
Another standout from Lidl's private-label fragrance line. No surprises here, a budget friendly alternative for Invictus by Paco Rabanne that gives a sporty, aquatic & sweet profile which punches well above its weight class given its supermarket price point. From the entire shelf this was the last bottle, a tester, when I asked the manager would they sell it, he generously gifted it to me. It seems to have hit shelves circa 2024 as part of their Scents-ational campaign. These scents are typically developed by large fragrance houses like Givaudan, Firmenich, or IFF under contract for Lidl. Victory is a Woody Aquatic fragrance, a balance between fresh sea notes & a warm, sweet base. Up top Marine Accords, Grapefruit & Mandarin Orange. The opening is an immediate blast of synthetic freshness. It mimics the "bubblegum" sweetness found in the original Invictus but adds a sharp, citrusy edge from the grapefruit. At its core, Bay Leaf, Jasmine & Geranium. Here the aquatic notes become more prominent, supported by an aromatic herbal touch of bay leaf. It is beautifully finished of with a Base of Guaiac Wood, Oakmoss, Patchouli & Ambergris. The base is where the value shows; while it lacks the creamy depth of high-end scents, the woody-amber finish remains clean and masculine. Performance ain't so bad, considering this is a sub €5 scent. Expect a reasonable 2/3hrs on skin. It projects strongly for the first hour, enough to be noticed in a room, before settling into a more intimate scent bubble. It's versatile enough to be worn at anytime, though it would excel in Spring/Summer due to its aquatic nature. The scent doesn't evolve much; what you smell after 10 minutes is largely what you get for the rest of the day. My Rating: Scent: 2 Longevity: 1.5 Sillage: 1.5 Y/N: 1

Jazz 2.0 by G. Bellini/Lidl
I've reviewed some of these Bellini frags alone time ago. At times they can be hit or miss, but when they do hit, it's real good. Bellini is a private label brand for the discount retailer Lidl. Jazz 2.0 is one of their more popular dupes, releases on early 2025. The brand often uses large fragrance houses like Mane or Drom for their No prizes if you can guess the inspiration behind this one? And no it's not the classic YSL Jazz release. Jazz 2.0 is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that leans heavily into a boozy, smoky, and sweet aesthetic. Up Top, you get notes of Pink Pepper, Neroli & Lemon. The opening is bright and slightly sharp with the pink pepper & citrus. But it settles almost immediately into its core identity. At the heart you will find Rum, Java Vetiver Oil & Clary Sage. It matches its inspiration here with a warm, intoxicating blend of rum and tobacco. At the base, Tobacco Leaf, Vanilla Pod & Styrax. The vanilla in the base provides a creamy sweetness that balances the roughness of the tobacco, making it feel cozy rather than harsh. Although it's quite linear, you do get a 90% match to the original, they have done extremely well here. And it performed surprisingly robust. I get a solid 3hrs on skin before it begins to fade, projection is fairly solid for the duration, where it creates a noticeable scent bubble for the first 2 hours before receding closer to the skin. Like the OG, this will perform best in the cold The warmth of the rum and tobacco makes it perfect for cold weather, evening dates, or evening leisure. This is a dark, sweet, and boozy "mood" fragrance. I'd grab it while you can, because at these prices, it ain't gonna last long My Rating: 6.5/10 Scent: 2 Longevity: 2 Sillage: 1.5 Y/N: 1
