Recently @Steve Louis wore this one and in our commenting he asked when I’d wear it so I said when it got cold again. Well today it’s low 40s on the bayou, I knew a change was coming, so I broke out it out for my second round, my first wear was early in my journey and I was such a novice in reviewing, more like “I'm wearing this today.” Sauvage Elixir by Dior is a Aromatic fragrance for men. Top notes are Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cardamom and Grapefruit; middle note is Lavender; base notes are Licorice, Sandalwood, Amber, Patchouli and Haitian Vetiver. As mentioned, this is my second wearing and I like the out the gate power this gives you, yes it can and will go beast mode if overstayed so spray lightly. The blend is nothing short of masterful, delivering a sophisticated and elegant masculinity that exudes both command and refinement, one that I’d say is a true confidence booster as it leaves a lasting impression of confidence and impeccable taste. This scent has a bold presence, but it's never overpowering — it's the perfect choice for a modern gentleman who values timeless elegance. I am amazed at how long this lasts as well as I could still sense it on my skin at the end of my day, 10 plus hours. It is simply in a league of its own and in my opinion full bottle worthy.

I think I made my first frag purchase in November / December 2024, and until then I was relying on a 30+ year old bottle of Polo Green given to me by my father-in-law back in the 1990s. In 2025 for some reason (GLPs, I think) my interest in fragrances was all consuming. I've bought niche, designers, clones with reckless abandon. Some purchases were brilliant, some not so much... I don't need to tell you what I'm talking about. In the middle of the summer I decided that the only answer to this newfound obsession was going to have to be a trip to the motherland of Middle Eastern fragrances, Dubai. Anyway, we're leaving this Wednesday (?, maybe Tuesday...) and my wife has finally come to the realization that I'm going (ever so slightly) overboard to get questions answered. Besides, I want to see what the heck it's like in that part of the world. You guys have GOT to check out this video.
