NICHE vs. DESIGNER — Which Side Are You On?
This is one of the oldest debates in the fragrance world - and opinions run HOT. NICHE FRAGRANCES: Crafted by independent houses obsessed with artistry over mass appeal. Think Amouage, Creed, Serge Lutens. Bold, complex, unapologetically unique. You wear niche and you know no one else in the room is wearing the same thing. But you're paying for the privilege. DESIGNER FRAGRANCES — The Chanels, the Diors, the Tom Fords. Masterfully blended, backed by decades of heritage, and worn by people who know what they're doing. Dior Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel are bestsellers for a reason — they're refined, proven, and never embarrassing. The debate: Is niche fragrance the pinnacle of personal expression — or is it overpriced elitism dressed up as art? And are designer houses underrated gems hiding in plain sight? Tell us: Team Niche or Team Designer? Vote below 👇 — and tell me which house or specific fragrance makes your case? Roast the other camp respectfully — this is a gentleman's debate after all. 😄

Both! There’s an amazing catalogue of designer fragrances, they’re incredible. Designer fragrances are also what many of our parents wore, which makes them even more special. With niche, there’s an artistic side that really speaks to me. I’m a Xerjoff lover, one of my favorite brands. On the designer side, Guerlain is just beautiful… and their private line? Wow!! I’m bi-fragranxual! 😄
SOTE - French Defense
One of my absolute favorites of my entire collection. This started Mind Games rabbit hole. I just absolutely want to bath myself in this. I smelled this about 2 years ago and loved it, but the price scared me, I was still mostly cheapy ME frags back then and my most expensive bottle was like $100. I got the Dua version Cunning Defense, which I loved and is a great alternative if you don't want to pay the price for MG, even now owning the OG I would still rock the Dua, but it has a new home now. Back to MG, this opened my eye to the brand, I am now 6 bottles in and super happy to have added them, I owe this frag the credit.

I haven’t been able to find a good deal. It’s one of the best cherries on the market.
