Happy first day of the World Cup! This week, I revisited my Memo Paris sample pack and decided to give Marfa a try. After wearing it yesterday and again today, here are my thoughts. Marfa opens with a delightful citrus and fruity burst that really stands out at first. After about a minute, I noticed a creamy white floral note that joins the mix, prominently featuring tuberose alongside the citrus. About 10 to 15 minutes in, a woody undertone emerges, adding a more masculine touch to the initially feminine opening. Overall, the perfume's characteristics strongly remind me of the white florals found in Lacoste L12.12 Blanc. After looking up the notes, it's clear why: both fragrances feature a heart of tuberose and ylang ylang, transitioning into a subtly woody base. If you enjoy Lacoste Blanc, I believe you would appreciate Marfa as well—it feels like a niche interpretation of that scent, with a creamier and slightly fruitier opening. While the initial burst does lean a bit feminine, the scent evolves into a lovely unisex experience. If you’ve enjoyed Lacoste Blanc in the past, I highly recommend giving Marfa a try. In terms of performance, I was pleasantly surprised. The opening creates a significant scent bubble around you, which lasted for the first hour before settling closer to the skin. The longevity was impressive, lasting beyond seven hours. For a fresh white floral scent, Marfa definitely performs well. In conclusion, if you're a man who appreciates white florals and is a fan of Lacoste L12.12 Blanc, Marfa is absolutely worth exploring.
