This recent heat wave in Colorado,prompted me to try out my travel-size Sea + Zephyr by Michael Malul this week. Here are my impressions from my first wearings. The opening note is ideal for a hot summer day, featuring a robust citrus and green herbs scent. It’s perfect when you want to smell fresh and clean. After about three minutes, I notice eucalyptus, reminiscent of the summer air fresheners at Bath & Body Works. The freshness persists strongly for the first hour. After that, the scent transitions to something similar to Aqua di Gio, with hints of rosemary and musk akin to Aqua di Gio Profondo, giving a good idea of what to expect. In terms of performance, the scent is quite potent initially, projecting strongly for the first hour. Afterwards, it settles closer to the skin and lasts around five hours, though with less projection. For me, this makes a great hot-day or everyday office fragrance. In a sea of blue scents, it holds its own; however, while it’s a nice option, it doesn’t stand out significantly among other blue fragrances on the market.

Day Nine of my Aromatix X fragrance reviews Today in 2nd spot - Aromatix X Platine Blanc Inspired by Xerjoff Torino 21 At first spray the opening hits with a crisp, almost fizzy burst of mint, lime and lemon, and that tonic water accord really gives it that sparkling, mojito-style effect - fresh, slightly green and super invigorating without feeling sharp. As it settles, the fragrance keeps that fresh character but becomes smoother with rosemary and blackcurrant adding a subtle aromatic and slightly fruity depth, while jasmine softens everything just enough to keep it clean and elegant rather than overly green. The transition feels very natural - like a chilled citrus drink slowly losing its fizz and turning into something more refined. In the dry down, musk, ambergris and sandalwood create a clean, slightly creamy base, while oakmoss adds a touch of earthy depth that keeps the scent grounded and masculine. Performance is solid for a fresh fragrance, generally giving 6–8 hours with a fresh, noticeable projection early on before settling into a clean skin scent. Overall rating: 9.2/10 Overall, this smells like a fresh mint-lime drink on a hot day evolving into smooth, clean woods, making it perfect for summer, gym, daytime wear or anytime you want something bright, refreshing and effortlessly put together so 2nd spot for me BUT ONLY BECAUSE the fragrance at number 1 is a little more versatile and can be used most of the year round compared to this.
