This opens with a burst of bergamot, and on first spray it even gives off a soft, creamy vibe that feels both fresh and smooth. The heart introduces lavender wrapped in a unique fire accord, adding warmth and character as the fragrance develops. Finally, the base settles into woody notes and smoky nuances, creating a cozy, slightly mysterious trail. Longevity sits around 6–8 hours, with moderate projection early on before becoming more intimate as it dries down.
I was initially apprehensive about trying this fragrance, having read so many mixed - often more negative than positive reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The scent opens smooth and creamy, not quite gourmand but certainly leaning in that direction. After some time on the skin, it developed into what I would say is a creamy floral accord that felt soft and addictive, clinging closely in an intimate way. I personally didn’t detect much of the smoky note, though this may be due to testing from a small decant with limited spray.
Rating: 8.7/10. Would I purchase a full bottle? Absolutely. Is it the best in the Born in Roma line overall? No - but in my opinion, it’s the strongest release within the limited-edition range.
