SOTD: Jo Milano High Roller

Good day gents!

Still rotating through decants, today I'm wearing Jo Milano Game of Spades High Roller.

An inspiration of Absolu Aventus, allegedly. I get the Aventus DNA, but don't feel like Absolu that much. Perhaps some mix of Aventus OG and Absolu.

Right up, it's one of those fragrances I feel what they were going for, but didn't quite make it. One of the notes that I like the most on Absolu, is how it darkens with the added spices of cardamom and cinammon, while a fruity/citrusy aspect is amplified a bit by the addition of the apparent notes of grapefruit and citron. High Roller is missing that.

Instead, I feel High Roller comes out like OG Aventus, with an attempt of darkening it in some way, that what I get is a weird brightening instead. What comes to mind is that instead of sweet pinnaple, it has a note of more sour pinneapple.

Not a bad scent, but not exactly what I was expecting when thinking of an Absolu inspo. Interestingly as well, I was unable to find a bottle for sale anywhere in my usual discounters. Maybe it did, in fact, not work out? Not even in Fragrantica.

Conclusion:

Do I like it? Somewhat. I don't dislike it...

Am I going to enjoy the decant? Just enough.

Full bottle worthy, for me? No way José.
