SOTD: Costa Azzura Parfum, with some help from Summer Vibes

Took my older son shopping for clothes today before he heads back off to college next weekend. We went to an outdoor mall and it was a beautiful 75 degrees, sunny and breezy. I thought it would be perfect weather for Costa Azzurra Parfum and its beautiful fresh cypress. I find it has an ever-so-slightly harsh open, but I have a solution - layer on a few hits of D&G Summer Vibes. Summer Vibes is also a wonderful cypress heavy scent with a delicious rich opening that smooths out Costa Azzurra’s harsh open; and the longevity on Summer Vibes is pretty terrible so it fades away relatively soon, leaving Costa Azzurra’s lovely crisp cypressy mids and finish. Four hours in and I was still catching whiffs of Costa Azzurra (Sunmer Vibes had long passed by that point); seven hours in and it’s a very nice cypressy skin scent.

Oh, and of course I had to stick my head in the fragrance outlet store, where I scored a pretty good deal - 50ml ADG Profondo EDP for $72 (vs Jomashop $85). My son will be taking it to college!
