As I said before, I bought these one out of nostalgia. It was my signature scent on my first student’s trip to Spain and Portugal in 1992. It was launched in 1988 created by perfumer Pierre Bourdon, same perfumer how made the masterpiece Creed Green Irish Tweed launched in 1985, being Cool Water a clear inspiration on it. Cool Water was ahead of its time and set the trend for many fresh aquatic designers fragrances along the years , therefore remaining timeless.
I’m giving it a first full wear since then, I could defiantly say that lacks the magic of its glory days. But I’m definitely picking up resemblances from my memory of the scent. Since it is a freshie, I will not crave it as much as back into those years. However, when I feel the need to travel back to those days, it will be there to help me out. It opens very green/herbal/fresh, transitioning to a more floral, musky, ambery and woody scent. Projection and longevity nowadays are very soft to my taste. I prefer the Intense version.
