We’re not like most people…
While some people make it for about three weeks before throwing in the towel, studies have proven that most people begin falling off right about now.
But, we are NOT like most people. 💯
What I love so much about coaching you is that I get to educate you—not just on nutrition and fitness, but on the psychology behind it all. When you know what obstacles to expect, you have a much better chance of overcoming them! They don’t blindside you when you see them coming, and most importantly, you’re learning both the practical strategies and mindset strategies to navigate every season!
While the honeymoon phase typically lasts anywhere from 2-3 weeks, it’s important to recognize that real habit change may not have occurred just yet. That’s right. The “21 days to create a habit” myth is a misinterpretation of a book written in the 1960s. What studies have found is that it usually takes longer, with an average of around 66 days, to create a new habit.
This can only mean one thing—while the honeymoon phase is great for initial motivation, it’s short-lived, and your awareness of it is going to help you press into what you need the most—discipline! 💥
Come back tomorrow to learn more about discipline and how to start building it within yourself!
