We do recover
This pic makes me so emotional It gives me so much gratitude for the days I’m living now, both the good and bad. This girl 15 years ago had no clue about the blessings that was waiting on me. But God 😭❤️🙌🏻🦋

Honeymoon Phase is ending soon...
TAKING ACTION: ✅ TAKE ACTION today, friends! As you’ll read below, the honeymoon phase is coming to an end. It’s time to lean into discipline and crush our New Year’s goals! 💥 As you learned last week, the first two weeks of the new year are considered the “honeymoon phase”-- the honeymoon phase typically lasts between January 1st and around January 14th. Today is January 12th, so you know what that means—it’s time to get your mindset in the right place and push through the finale of the honeymoon phase. While there’s nothing marginal that happens overnight between December 31st and January 1st, the truth is that there really is more motivation for some people at the beginning of the new year. In fact, many people experience a noticeable dopamine boost at the start of a new year when they commit to goals like healthy eating, weight loss, exercise, or other self-improvement habits. This isn’t my opinion. This is known because of well-established neuroscience and behavioral psychology research. So while it isn’t a magic bullet, the reality is that the new year does offer us a great time to get started; however, as the dopamine of the “new” wears off, you can’t give up. You have to keep going and lean into discipline in the coming days and weeks. 💯 Since we’re between weeks two and three of the new year, it’s time to focus on what actions to take now. It’s time to unpack the strategies that will help us push through the honeymoon phase. If you want to continue reaching your goals, it’s important that you continue to show up, friends! 💯

Healthy Chick-Fil-A nuggets!!
TAKING ACTION: ✅ Time to ‘fess up—who loves Chick-fil-A’s nuggets?! If so, do you prefer fried or grilled? This week, we’re talking about effective ways (and expectations) to transition out of the honeymoon phase and into discipline; however, we all know Tuesdays are for recipes! 🍽️ Later in the week, we’re going to talk about why the weekends are often the most tempting time to eat out. While it’s okay to enjoy eating out now and then, the reality is that doing so frequently isn’t the most ideal. For starters, portion sizes are often much larger than necessary (hello Big Macs!). Secondly, you can’t control the ingredients used when eating out. Again, we’ll talk more about this toward the end of the week, as well as why changing your habits around dining out is so important when it comes to the cycle of overeating. Since today is Recipe Tuesday, I thought I’d combine both topics and offer a recipe for a common favorite drive-thru dish—Chick-fil-A’s famous chicken nuggets! The ingredients are cleaner, and they’re air-fried, making them a healthier (but still flavorful) option when you have goals to conquer! 😍 Homemade Chick-Fil-A Style Nuggets, Crispy outside, juicy inside, and totally addictive. – Little Healthy Life

I love fried!! So I’m gonna say yes please. I can get with all of it but the Italian bread crumbs. I’ve never used them but do they have like Italian spices in them or is it just called that bc of the bread itself? Like the kind you buy in loaves from the bakery?

I could totally understand this, there is lots of ppl who do. I have a mind over matter issue by letting my mind think things based off the food, esp meats. I love deer meat but it’s hard for me to get past Bambi! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
We’re not like most people…
While some people make it for about three weeks before throwing in the towel, studies have proven that most people begin falling off right about now. But, we are NOT like most people. 💯 What I love so much about coaching you is that I get to educate you—not just on nutrition and fitness, but on the psychology behind it all. When you know what obstacles to expect, you have a much better chance of overcoming them! They don’t blindside you when you see them coming, and most importantly, you’re learning both the practical strategies and mindset strategies to navigate every season! While the honeymoon phase typically lasts anywhere from 2-3 weeks, it’s important to recognize that real habit change may not have occurred just yet. That’s right. The “21 days to create a habit” myth is a misinterpretation of a book written in the 1960s. What studies have found is that it usually takes longer, with an average of around 66 days, to create a new habit. This can only mean one thing—while the honeymoon phase is great for initial motivation, it’s short-lived, and your awareness of it is going to help you press into what you need the most—discipline! 💥 Come back tomorrow to learn more about discipline and how to start building it within yourself!

I’ve not even got started frfr! Research is about all I’ve been doing. I’m glad to know that the habit theory we’ve all thought for so long isn’t really true. I got to get my life together y’all! 😭😭😭

More on Honeymoon Phase…
TAKING ACTION: ✅ It’s check-in time! How are you doing after week one? This is not the time to go silent, regardless of how you did this past week. Today is a new day, and you are far more capable than you think! We’re one week into what’s considered the “honeymoon phase”. If you’re like me, you didn’t even realize this was a real thing—oh, but it is—and taking advantage of what’s naturally going on in your brain is the best decision you can make this time of year! 💯 The honeymoon phase is nice because, as you learned last week, your feel-good chemicals and endorphins are likely higher than normal right now. But the real question is—what are we going to do once the honeymoon phase wears off? I’m glad you asked! Don’t worry, we’re going to learn all about that in the coming days and weeks. The strategies we’re going to learn in the near future are important, friends, and will be the exact strategies you’ll need to carry you through 2026. 💯 It’s about to get good. Make sure you’re here for it. In the meantime, it’s a good idea to get in the habit of meal prepping at least once per week. Even if you can’t prep for a full week, you can prep for a few days—and a few days is better than nothing at all!
