Drop Scarcity Mindset
TAKING ACTION: ✅ Did you (or do you still) have a scarcity mindset around certain foods? Read the post below, and let’s talk about ways to navigate it if so! ⬇️Nourishing your body tip #2⬇️ Drop the scarcity mindset around food. 💯 “Scarcity makes everything desirable.” ~Shahram Heshmat, Ph.D. Scarcity or telling yourself that you can’t have certain foods regularly leads to overindulging. You aren’t weak. It’s the way we’re made. So instead of working against it, work WITH it. 👏 If you want to avoid the scarcity mindset, don’t have any “off-limits” foods. That doesn’t mean you should just go stock up on junk food. The answer isn’t black-and-white. You don’t have to avoid them altogether, nor do you have to binge on them when you do choose to enjoy them. Have you ever avoided what we’ll call a “fear food”, only to see it on the table at a party or gathering, and suddenly, you have no control? Yeah, same. This is most often because you’ve decided this food is off-limits and your brain is simply doing what it’s evolutionarily designed to do… One good way to strengthen yourself in this area is to buy pre-portioned packages of foods that have formerly caused you to overindulge. For example, if you’re someone who eats the entire box of cereal at 10:00 PM, try buying the single-serve portions and allow yourself to have one a few times per week. The same goes for potato chips, ice cream, or anything else you try to avoid. If there’s even a small morsel of “I can’t have that”, that’s when you can expect to overdo it. The goal is to kick the scarcity mindset to the curb! 👟 Wednesday Wisdom: Today’s subject is a matter of the brain, and we all know that changing your thoughts isn’t easy. This is especially true when it’s deep in your psyche or subconscious. It takes practice. It takes intentional thinking. It takes patience and time. You may take one step forward with this approach only to take two steps back next time. Just don’t give up. Keep practicing. Repeatedly THINKING and ACTING is the power combo when it comes to changing your brain! 🧠

Tuesday Eats 🥘
⬇️ Nourishing your body tip #1⬇️ Learn what your body needs in terms of macronutrients. Don’t just track and forget it. Pay attention. That doesn’t mean you have to track all the time, etc., but you do need to be aware of what your body needs in terms of protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats. Learning what you need and how your body feels can feel a little confusing at first, but eventually, you’ll just know—and once you know, you can’t “unknow.” It’s hard to ignore it once you’re aware of how great or terrible foods make you feel. You certainly don’t have to track everything you eat to practice awareness. For example, if you eat a hefty portion of carbohydrates early in the day, you’re probably aware that you need to focus on getting in your protein and fat for the rest of the day. You don’t have to obsess about it, but if you want proper nourishment to become your lifestyle, you need to be aware of what your body needs (and how it feels) at the very least. 👌 Tuesday Recipe: Speaking of nourishing your body, you know I couldn’t wrap up without giving you a delicious recipe! Check out these gluten-free/dairy-free no-bake protein bites! You can thank me later…😉 Cinnamon Breakfast Bites with Protein

TAKING ACTION: ✅ After reading today’s post, comment NOURISH below if you’re ready to learn some tips on how to comprehensively nourish your body! If time permits, let me know how you’re feeling overall. “If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have found the safest way to health.” ~Hippocrates You must make the turn if you want to continue your journey. I believe that when you keep going, you eventually learn to love the journey—you fall in love with nourishing your mind and body. ❤️ Learning how to nourish your body is important, but the ultimate goal is that it becomes your life—that you crave nourishment because of the way it makes you feel. If that seems like a far-fetched idea, I encourage you to show up this week. It may feel like a distant dream from where you’re standing right now, but remember, Point Z looks very different depending on where you’re standing. If you’re standing at Point A, a lifestyle of nourishing your body won’t happen overnight. It might take months or even years. That’s okay. As long as you’re progressing, that’s all that matters because progression means you’re evolving. Progression means you’re changing. Progression means you’re growing. Nourishment isn’t punishment. It’s life-giving, and there are numerous ways to nourish your body that we’re going to discuss this week. Once you truly believe and embody comprehensive nourishment, there’s no going back…🫶

Brain 🧠 = Pattern Detector
TAKING ACTION: ✅ Everyone check in today! Let me know how you’re doing and feeling below! How’s your mindset? “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” ~Unknown Simple quote. Powerful message. 💯 This week, we are talking about treating every day as the first day of your journey. I’ll be honest—it’s not easy. The reason it isn’t easy is that you’ve trained your brain/thoughts to proclaim and believe that it gets boring, monotonous, and mundane. The only reason you believe that is that you THINK that. Again, you’ve trained yourself to think like this. The cool thing is that if you can train your brain one way, you can train your brain to think just the opposite. It starts with intentional practice. You see, your brain doesn’t know the difference between reality and fiction. It simply reacts to your thought patterns. This means you have to change your thought patterns! That’s the answer! As I mentioned, changing your thoughts isn’t the easiest thing to do, but here’s a simple way to start ⬇️ Say this to yourself: “Today is the first day of the rest of my life.” Then repeat. Then repeat. Keep repeating. Remember, your brain is a pattern detector. 💯
