Hello Facilitators👋 I'm really curious about where everyone is from. I'd love to make this a mega post where we can see how diverse the Facilitator Club community is. Who knows, you might find a lot more people in your area than you thought! Once I have lots of answers on this post, I want to make a nice graph!

And now let's get everyone to introduce himself! Let's make a big round... How many times have your experienced this in training? I once had 15 people on the call, I was a participant, and the whole introduction took 2 hours! Can not tell you how frustrating this was! Not to mention the more introverted persons really hate this thing sooo much! Can a trainer do this in another way? Of course! One example (and yes there are many ways how to do this in a fun way) is the one below I experienced myself in a training: 🖍️ We were asked to find a pair and introduce each other by answering to 2 questions (which were related to the training topic so not randomly chosen) . 🖍️ Each person was making notes about the other person's introduction. 🖍️ Each person was then drawing their pair on a pice of paper with the information they got before.🖍️ At the end each person was introducing their pair in the big group. It was fun, connecting people to each other and with the training topic. And fun, did I mention fun?🤪 In the picture attached my pair , a super funny lady I met. And I still remember all that she told me because I was drawing it and to be able to draw you have to listen really carefully! Hope is useful for you too!

A good day to all of you beautiful faces! I'm Vincent (call me Vince), I live in Boutersem, Belgium (20 mins from Leuven) with my lovely wife Sandra and daughter Olivia. In my spare time I love to game, cook, fiddle with computer and network stuff and so much more. Creative generalist, right here 🙋🏻‍♂️. (If you want to talk coffee or photography, yes please) I'm very happy to have found this community of facilitators. I've been working in tech since I started working in 2012, first as a project manager, then product owner, then product manager and now scrum master & agile coach. Facilitation has always been a part of the jobs I've been doing and need and love for facilitation has only increased over the years.
