Always carry spares
Strange timing on this one. I was out for a ride in Girona today (it's beautiful here) and broke my chain doing 30 second sprints. Thankfully I had a chain tool and a friend had a power link. I got back home, catching up on messages and a group member had sent me a message asking what he should include in his saddle bag. Feel free to add to the list. Here's what I think is important: Pump, tube x 2, levers, multitool (with chain breaker), power link, tyre boot, valve core & remover, zipp ties.

@Anthony Walsh and make sure ride buddy has a quick link with him. 🤣
Gym Equipment
Coach. I don’t really want to join a gym unless absolutely necessary. Can you suggest the equipment needed to do the sessions at home. Eg kettlebells that can be used for goblet squats and also for an improvised dead lifts and kettle bell swings. Looks like a stability ball is defo needed. But for exercises like the reverse row or cable leg pulls is there any alternative that I do at home with some basic equipment. Which weigh kettleballs would u suggest to begin with. Or dumbbells etc Thx

@Alex Omar where are you based? If in Europe, Decathlon have a good range of gym equipment. I've bought additional weight plates from them. I'm using the non Olympic size plates, 1 inch / 25mm. They have a good range resistance band and kettle bells.
Bike Fit Questions
Hey, I've just confirmed a collab with Phil Burt (Ineos & GB Cycling Bike Fitter) to record a bike fitting course especially for us. We're going to start recording this just after Christmas. What questions do you have about setting up your bike? It can be anything from saddle sore prevention (can especially bad for the girls) to comfort or aero. I know for me I get slightly numb hands on longer rides, excited to explore a solution for this. Your questions will help me design the curriculum for this course.

@Vern Loebs Jr very hard to diagnose bad bike with out pics or videos. Generally if you're getting pain only on the bike or directly after getting off the bike then the bike may well be an issue. Also remember if you're not comfortable and stable on the bike, your body will be using an amount of energy to keep you stable and in as an efficient position as possible. That's wasted energy that could improve performance.

@Robert Herd both get equal attention. A clean bike is fast a bike. First thing after every spin it gets a sponge bath. 🤣 The TCX takes a lot of abuse from Irish weather and winter conditions. The Allez Sprint has been upgraded since that pic. Now on SRAM Force Axs.
Daily accountability
Hey folks, did you ride today? I’m staying on in Girona for a little bit and settling into a routine balancing work & training I rode 4 hours zone 2 today

Haven't touched the bike this week due to being sick.🤧🤒. I'll either be super fresh or pedalling squares when I get over to Girona next week @Anthony Walsh
