Anyone like some free Executive Coaching?
I’m currently training to be an executive coach as I believe it will give me a complementary set of skills for the work I do as a facilitator. As part of my training I need to log a certain number of practice hours and so I’m looking for people who might be willing to try being coached…for free! A few details for anyone who might be interested: I am still in training, and won’t qualify officially for a few more months, but I am being taught by a very reputable coaching institution The offer is for 2 or 3 hour long coaching sessions, conducted virtually, where we can discuss and explore any career goals you have and what steps you might need to take to achieve them It doesn’t have to be about your facilitation career, but given this forum I’m expecting that’s what you might want to discuss There is absolutely no charge If you’re interested, please like this post and I’ll message you to set up some time to discuss things in a bit more detail, Thank you!

are you still looking @Rob Stevens ?
Meeting Improvement Books
I will be giving a presentation at the end of May with a co-presenter who is not a workshop facilitator. She is a Scrum Master though. Our session is about how to improve meetings and the culture around meetings. What are some books that you recommend that we should read. I am in the Workshopper Master program. She is not. This is more about improving standard corporate / business meetings that are around 1 hour or less and occasional longer 1.5 hour meetings, but not about half-day / whole-day+ workshops.

Hi @Talia Johnson I have found these books useful. 'The Workshop Survival Guide' by Fitzpatrick & Hunt, 'The Workshop Book' by Pamela Hamilton and 'The Art of Gathering' by Priya Parker.
Facilitating a learning event on difficult conversations
Hi all, I have to facilitate a learning event as part of my L&D qualification. My chosen topic is difficult conversations. The purpose of the session is to inform participants on how to approach tricky conversations and the steps and principles involved. The goal is to walk away with a useful toolkit, some new knowledge and the belief that participants can manage difficult conversations with confidence. I have about 60-90 minutes and only 3 participants! Does anyone have any exercise ideas? Many thanks

@Ashley Aguirre, PCC thank you. I like the idea of summary cards.

Hey there, I'd like to become a successful facilitator and use my existing skills and knowledge to build onto.
