Any insight?
Almost 10% body fat % in 2.5 weeks!? That’s insane! I play pickleball everyday for anlmost 2 hours a day or more and eat pretty well and only lost 16lbs so far… Really curious to how these guys are losing soo much! Only thing I can think of is some of their weight they are losing is water weight.. idk, I don’t have any “water weight” to lose. Been losing weight since January 15th… Any insights?

Yes probably some water weight and although the percentages are supposed to level the playing field…. I think starting weight still has a huge effect. For example someone who is 350 pounds should have a much easier time losing 35 pounds than someone who starts at 150 and is trying to lose 15 to get that same 10%. If I lose the percentage required to win this challenge I’d likely be unhealthy and underweight. So kudos to those losing major pounds but don’t get down on yourself if your percentage isn’t matching… not all pounds are created or lost equally, even using the percentages.

@Brian Hartney I lost 5% in 7 days after quitting sugar so I assume almost all 5% was water weight because I wasn’t in a calorie defecit. 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think we might see the numbers start leveling out in the coming weeks now that most are done losing the bloat
A Little Tendonitis
Having such fun playing and loving the coaching - I am already seeing the benefits of the coaching sessions in my game. So I am wanting to play as often as possible —- overplaying just a tad! So my elbow is a bit sore with that whole tennis elbow thing again. This morning on the court I remembered the remedy I tried before that was helpful (because I didn’t want to rest then either!) and I have started to apply it to my elbow. It’s supposed to work on inflammation (and I find it works for me). In case anyone wants to try this remedy: 100ml Castor Oil 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper. You have to shake the bottle every time because the cayenne pepper settles out of solution. It’s possible that in colder climates you may need to apply gentle warmth to make the mixture a liquid. Just rub it onto the skin on the affected part (NOT for drinking, just apply topically)

Neat recipe, I’ll have to try… thanks!! Met with a coach last week and he said I’m definitely gripping the paddle too hard which is irritating my elbow. I’m trying to loosen the grip which is tough!
Pickleball mail is always fun
Look what just came in the mail!!! @Nico Valencia talks so highly of the lifetime ball that I hopped on the train when I saw someone selling them for 3 dollars a ball on Facebook marketplace. Now to find an excuse to go and try them out!

@Theresa Walstra would it help if it shipped private party? They sell these at my gym but I have no idea what shipping would be if I mailed them.

I don’t wear one but now I’m curious too. I’m going to ask the people at my gym their stats.

Today was another good day. Today was my first day with a coach so I drilled with him this morning, that was great and I'm excited about getting better. After that I went out on the paddleboard for some more activity. I love having the Lefty Reset community to share with. keeps me on track, and makes me hold myself accountable. how is the reset helping you guys?

Way to go with the drilling! I agree, it definitely helps keep me accountable. When I started I didn’t think I’d be that invested and am surprising myself with how well I’m sticking to my plan! 💪🏼
