Flusser + AI
Based on Flusser’s chapter (Dressing the Man) on personalized color in men’s wear, I uploaded my mug shot and this question to ChatGPT (my follow on discussion/suggestions from GPT was enlightening and made a lot of sense): “As a sartorial expert for men, can you recommend the best clothing colors according to my hair color and complexion?” Comment if you give it a try!

@Michael McDonnell Michael, you can download the ChatGPT app (or log in online) and ask anything. I recommend taking time to watch a few basic tutorials to gain a sense of what GPT is and is not. In this case, I assigned its role, gave it a task, and provided context (a close-up selfie). It’s important to analyze its responses by your own judgement; its responses are mathematical/statistical/probability based answers with a high degree of accuracy, but not 100% of the time. Hope that helps. For me, it is helpful for this type of question when I’m seeking to apply sartorial principles individually.
OOTD
Good morning gentlemen, Today I’m wearing this Royal Blue two piece suit with a pink shirt from New York Suit Exchange, the hat , monogram cufflinks, brown suspenders or ( braces)and watch from Amazon, with brown Chelsea boots from Shoe Show. The tie was given to me for Christmas by a young lady from our church because she knows I like ties. It might not be name brand but because it’s from the heart it worth more than money.

Absolutely love the hat with your suit
Can you be too overdressed at work?
I work in an office, we have a lot of developers who generally wear t-shirts with slogans on (mostly a baggy fit). I don't do development, I manage the products and generally am the interface between the business executives, c-suite and so on. However even our ceo generally wears a golf shirt, jeans and takkies (sneakers). A couple of people dress up smarter, but its generally very dull. Would something like a nice button up shirt, sports jacket, a tie and some chino's or similar type of pants with a mix of shoes (as suggested in the early guides) work or would that be too formal (can one be too formal)? Looking for some guidance on ideas. I'll be doing a clean-out of the wardrobe this weekend (I have lots of old clothes that don't do me any favors that i'm going to donate)

Haven’t posted in many months, but a new tie is good motivation! (Apologies for the poor pic quality): Tie: Medallion bow tie (w/lavender oxford, brown vest, gray trousers) Shoes: Chelsea’s SOTD: Sweet Leaf

Celebrating Our Wins
I have seen little comments here and there about health, mindset, and lifestyle changes in our posts. This is a huge deal. The effort, the commitment, the battles, and the discipline it has taken to achieve success- Is transformational Now is the time to reflect that transformation through elevated personal style. Share your story: 1. A before & after photo - if you want 2. What started you on this path 3. Why you’re upgrading how you elevate your style Our progress can inspire other men to start there's
