It's been awhile since I have made a post and have been active. As we all know life puts challenges in front of us, and we need to meet them head on. With that said, we experience positives as well- this is one of them for me. https://mrhealthandfit.com/2026/john-coneset If this message resonates, I’d truly appreciate your support. Not for ego, but to help amplify a message that discipline, character, and whole-man wellness still matter. I’ve been selected as a finalist for Mr. Health & Fitness 2026, and I receive that with genuine humility. This isn’t my first chapter with Mr. Health & Fitness. My journey here mirrors my life—progress, setbacks, recalibration, and resolve. There were seasons when my health drifted, focus slipped, and discipline had to be rebuilt from the ground up. No shortcuts. No spotlights. Just daily decisions. That lived experience is what I bring to the Real Men Real Style community. It’s never been about perfection. It’s about standards. About reminding men—especially those who believe their best years are behind them—that real health is comprehensive: physical strength, mental clarity, emotional resilience, and social connection, all working together. My compass remains constant: Passion. Purpose. Presence. Passion to do the work. Purpose to make it meaningful. Presence to show up fully—in my body, my mind, my relationships, and my community. Being named a finalist isn’t a finish line—it’s a platform. One I intend to use to reinforce a timeless truth: real men take responsibility for their health, their appearance, and their impact—at every stage of life.

WINNER for the "Turning Point" Challenge 🥁🥁🥁
Gents - this challenge was a blast! We had so many transformation and turning-point stories shared, and every single one was inspiring in its own way. Seeing you guys show up, reflect, and take action is exactly what this community is about. Now… for the winner 🥁🥁🥁 🏆 WINNER: @Sean Kavanaugh Sean’s turning point started with years of feeling limited by his size — wearing looser clothes to hide, tailoring only for length, and cycling through “progress… then back to old habits.” Then life changed the trajectory. He stepped into a new chapter, started carrying himself differently, and eventually hit the real wake-up call: About 18 months ago, he woke up with his knees hurting and decided, “Enough is enough.” He committed to keto and consistent workouts — and that kickstarted not just weight loss, but a complete style evolution. What changed for Sean: - He’s down 75 pounds, with another 15–20 to go - Fit became the priority — not “whatever works,” but “what actually looks sharp” - He rebuilt his wardrobe intelligently (thrift + resale + tailoring) as his body changed - He leveled up so much that in December he bought an off-the-rack suit that only needed a hem — not a full reconstruction And the best part? He didn’t keep it to himself. He posts consistently, tracks his progress, and credits the community for helping him feel more confident in who he is — and where he’s going. @Sean Kavanaugh — we're proud of you! Everyone else: keep those stories coming in the community feed. This is how we build momentum — one decision, one upgrade, one win at a time!

Congratulations Sean, keep up the discipline!
Adding a tie for the evening.
Channeling my inner @Brian McGuire tonight. Or at least listening to his voice in my head 😜 Yesterday he had made a post about wearing a tie. I had already thought about wearing a tie out to dinner this evening with my wife while we’re away in the city for a day or two. I do enjoy wearing a tie just don’t get the occasion as much as I would like. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

The Light House Theory
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, As we are on this journey of growing and becoming the best version of ourselves, we tend to get lost not only in finding ourselves, but in trying to be everything to everyone. I want to share a personal experience and testimony about myself in the hopes that it will help you. There is a theory that I learned the hard way unfortunately it’s called the lighthouse principle, even though nobody teaches it like this. A lighthouse doesn’t chase ships. It doesn’t scream, it doesn’t move. It just stands where it’s built to stand and shines light. Here’s the part that missed me up, ships that need direction will find it, ships that don’t care will crash somewhere else. For a long time I wasn’t a lighthouse, I was a rescue boat. I chased people in storms they kept choosing. I explained myself to people who already decided not to understand me or I had to prove I was worthy of staying. And every time I did that, I thought I was being loving, understanding, and loyal; but what I was doing was abandoning my post. See there is another theory that nobody talks about; the more available you make yourself to people who aren’t anchored, the more they confuse access with value. They don’t love the light; they love the convenience. So, when I finally stop chasing, when I finally stop overextending, and when I finally started staying, who I was becoming was something uncomfortable and some people drifted away. At first that felt like failure, lost, and it felt like rejection, until I realize something powerful. The people who disappeared weren’t rejecting me, they just never came for me in the first place. They came for the rescue, and in that moment when I stopped rescuing the truth showed up. You don’t lose people when you grow, you lose roles; you lose the role of fixer, you lose the role of savior, the role of emotional supplier, and when those roles fall away. The only real connection remains is your life it’s quieter, cleaner, sweeter, more aligned. Because the right people don’t need you exhausted to stay. They don’t need you over giving to feel close. They don’t need you shrinking to feel secure. They’re drawn to who you are not what you provide. So if you’re in a season where people are drifting, where things feel lonely where you’re questioning if choosing yourself was worth it? Hear me clearly, you’re not losing your way. You’re finally standing in it. Stop chasing ships. Be the lighthouse. The ones who meant to find you.

Growth isn’t about chasing or convincing—it’s about standing where you’re meant to stand. When you stop rescuing, the truth surfaces: you don’t lose people, you lose roles- that’s not failure, it’s alignment. The right people aren’t drawn to exhaustion or overgiving. They’re drawn to clarity, steadiness, and light. Always - Well said Anthony!
