I was a young man in the Navy when I got stationed in San Diego as an instructor for the Advanced Electronics School on 32nd Street Naval Base. I'd go with my buddy: "Jeffrey LaFrance" Say his name in your "Grey Poupon" voice. Very aristocratic sounding! He was 6' 2", blonde with blue eyes. Looked like Dolph Lundgren. Next to him, I looked like Danny Devito. Plus, I was a squid with a funny last name... It was like Dolph versus Danny Devito. You'd think Danny wouldn't stand a CHANCE, right? BUT... Here's what would happen... We'd go to the Red Onion on Mission Beach. Jefferey would get 2 or 3 phone numbers. I'd leave with a pocket full of 12 or more. (KIDS: This was the early 90s, we still had to write down phone numbers!) I've never forgotten. I do the same thing online. From email to social to Skool. Whaddya know... I see we've just sold our 100th unit of "Make 'em Beg To Buy" in Brazil. One-fucking-hundred! Right now, we're getting close to acquiring 10 new customers per day on cold traffic, slightly profitably by selling ebooks + print books order bumps (the upsell stands at a big fat zero sales , but we're working on it :) And that was AFTER helping and watching Dan Wardrope aaaabsolutely slay it today in his community. What a day.
