Is this working?
I’m actively in the process of fixing my fucking Instagram. This really is the perfect step one. Over the last few months I started posting more aggressively and rebuilding my presence. As a married guy a lot of my content is focused on my family as I work to build my social circle. This is somehow getting me attention from women. I continue to call this proof of concept. I recently tossed up a few stories highlighting my adorable toddler watering a pinecone until it became our artificial Christmas tree. This was clearly hijacked off of other More viral Instagram, but the effect was still the same. Females from across my social media started to reach out and tell me it’s adorable. Most of them, the elderly community off the Facebook side of the house… But an old childhood friend also appeared out of the woodwork. She was the next girl neighbor type. I never had a crush on her, but I get a feeling my family was hoping for it. She ended up dating the high school quarterback all those many years ago. She dropped the chat below into Facebook messenger. She’s married and just recently had her first child herself. This is more about my content, starting to truly get female attention from my demographic. If she’s noticing my content, what other women are studies to notice it as well? If these videos are attracted to her, are they also attractive to my wife? I think this just might be working. Follow along as I continue to try and salvage a marriage. https://www.instagram.com/iansonnenberg

@Matt Nawrot fittingly it takes having abundance of options to sustain a long-term relationship. She doesn’t want you to cheat, she just wants to know that you could.

Well played Joe!
Building Social Proof / Getting Followers / Drop Your IG Handle
It seems like a lot of the guys here are just starting out building their Instagram profiles and have very few followers. This immediately breaks the whole preselection and "social proof" illusion, in my opinion. A "verified" checkmark next to your name is only worth something if you have a consistent following, otherwise it's just stupid (no real point in paying Meta a monthly fee if only your mom follows you on Instagram). This is not a new idea at all (and I believe similar threads already exist on this forum), but instead of growing in isolation, let’s create a simple place to connect. Drop your IG handle below + 1 sentence on your niche/vibe. Follow 5–10 people above you whose content you genuinely resonate with, and like a few posts so the algorithm connects you. When you follow someone, reply to their comment so they can follow back if they want. The goal is to create a supportive, high-quality social graph inside the group, not a cheesy “follow-for-follow.” This should help everyone get early momentum and makes the algorithm less brutal when starting from zero. Why do I post so much???
Status and value are tricky things to convey. The key to IG seems to be just take action. Without posts, my IG page was dead. As I started to post daily, views and engagement surged. My wife has started to notice. 25 views in May became 6.7k views in Nov. Last night, I posted a simple reel highlighting my cooking POV. I really enjoy cooking for my family and see it adding value. The home we a starting here in California also subtly conveys status. Check it out: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DREM9TNDtp1/?igsh=NDNkYmZnbnRrOWpi If you saw my previous posts, I’m trying to keep a marriage together in hopes of staying around my two biological children. My wife made a comment right before we fell asleep in bed: Wife: “People have theories about why you started posting so much.” What a great shit test from a wife. Ok, let’s lean in. Me: “Interesting, what are the theories.” Wife: “I’m not going to tell you.” Me: “Ok.” What do you think of the response? What are the theories? Will my marriage survive to the four year mark? @Bogdan I I did some research. A lot of wives delay divorce over the holiday season. March is the highest risk month. Things seem to be trending up after starting some MOA methods. Best case, I build attraction from my wife. Other best case, attraction from everyone else. Win win.

@Michael Harrington thanks for the support. Every bit helps. My harmless IG posts seem to continue to cause confusion. From what I’ve seen, a lot of my peers (many that I was pruning from my following list) get engaged/married and then fully stop posting on IG. Why would they? A comfortable dude with a stable relationship doesn’t need to flex it for validation. His family is all if the validation he needs. This is fine and probably healthy but… Now makes him irrelevant in modern dating and removes abundance. She wants him committed without options for the security of his provider resources.
Reading List
Hey team, Looking at the Men of Action reading list and wanted to get some input from the group. So far, I’ve finished: Extreme Ownership Flow Gates of Fire How to Win Friends & Influence People The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck The Millionaire Next Door The Rational Male The Rational Male – Positive Masculinity Still have a long list ahead, but would love to hear your thoughts… Which book from the rest of the list had the biggest impact on you personally, and why? Or, if you had to pick just one for me to start next, which one would it be? Looking forward to hearing your recommendations. Stay in the fight.

@Bryan Cook The game had some sad notes, especially with Mystery going through a rehab process. It helps to now see it from a macro perspective. Decades later, Mystery is still a thought leader in the field of male growth, walking down the street in an interview with Sartain. He also succeeded from an evolutionary perspective. Eric now has two children. He was not “unapologetically weeded put of the gene pool”. Neil dropped “The Truth” and uncomfortable book about relationships. It’s worth a read if you like his tonality in The Game. He also has a title called “Emergency” where he documents a phase of game like emersion in the world of disaster response. These two books show the truth of Neil as a top PUA who leans more journalist. It is entertaining watching him try to step back into the normal world after seeing the Matrix behind it all.
