I’m trying
I made the effort to switch everything off last night, read during the evening, got to bed earlier, 11.30, not the earliest but 3-4 hrs earlier than it had been 🥳 Up early at 7, didn’t pick my phone up, drank water moved with yoga, cooking breakfast atm before a shower & going to walk to work! I can do this!💪
What are you emotions when you discovered you had ADHD
I'm curious as to why some people are in grief when they find out they have ADHD. I found out in October and have been talking about it with ChatGBT since then. I already went through me shock and self-discovery with the limited information could think of, but after that, it was freeing to finally put a name on something I couldn't quite explain except, "I'm think a bit differently". Knowing has not only helped me to better understand myself, but also have patience on others because they can't. However, I'm seeing a lot of comments where that isn't the case for some people. I'm just wondering what phase are you on? Are you in shock? Grief? Fear of telling others? Shout it on the rooftops? At peace? Mine was shock- exploration - clarity - peace - continue to learn how to cope...

Hey Esther 👋I was diagnosed AuDHD last year, I’ve found it freeing like you, like a weight has been lifted, as so much makes sense-still trying to make sense of it too🤣 I also felt sadness for the little girl that struggled, anger that it could’ve been so different if we’d realised. I didn’t grab hold of those feelings though, it can’t be changed. I’m also excited to be in the stage I am now, learning and stepping into who I was meant to be🥳 The challenge has definitely helped me along my journey! I hope you’re finding it helpful on yours too🤗

Hello and welcome to the community Wendy👋 unfortunately we can’t give medical advice, for advice on medication, we’d recommend to talk to your doctor. Are you doing the challenge? Jim’s approach is more holistic, working from the inside out. Soo much resonates when you start watching the videos! Tomorrow is the last day of the challenge lives, also live on Monday. It’s really easy to catch up-you’ll find everything under the classroom tab. It’s lovely friendly community, I hope you get alot out of it, great to have you here!🤗
I'm Rhoda from London
Hi, my name is Rhoda, I’m from London, and I work as an Occupational Therapist in Mental health practice. I have experience with working with people with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, perimenopause women, and dementia. I have an eight year old son who has a diagnosis of ADHD. I don’t have a diagnosis but after researching, reading, and starting a training to be an ADHD Clinical practitioner: I think I have ADHD. You can ask me questions about: 1. Occupational Therapy in mental health 2. How to get a diagnosis for you ADHD child in UK 3. Perimenopause; anxiety and food supplement 4. The Philippines (this is my home country) I want to get these things from ADHD Harmony: 1. Be part of this great ADHD community 2. To rewire my brain 3. Understand myself better 4. Learn strategies to stop procrastinating 5. Learn from others through their experiences For fun, I like to: 1. Walk in the park, play with my son 2. Go to the beach, ride on the boat, go kayaking 3. Racing or shooting game on arcade ( I haven’t really done this for a long time but I used to like doing this when I was younger)

Hello and welcome Rhodora 👋 quite often people realise they have ADHD when someone close to them gets diagnosed or they start learning about it! The community is amazing, friendly and supportive, and the challenge will help you learn why we are the way we are and how to work with it, rather than against it. I hope you get a lot out of it, great to have you here!🤗
From the UK Sorry for the late intro hope all is well with you all
Hi everyone, glad to be here. I’ve missed the first few days due to work commitments and supporting my son, who is currently recovering from psychosis. It’s been a challenging time, but I’m grateful to now be here and part of the group. A little about me. I work in housing and coaching, supporting people who have faced difficult circumstances to rebuild their lives. I work with men 30+ coming out of prison and also people with criminal convictions. I specialise in rehabilitation and reintegration, and I’m currently working towards providing supported accommodation by partnering with local councils and organisations so people have a safe place to live while they rebuild their lives. I’ve also recently qualified as a transition coach, and I’m about to register my community interest company on the 10th, which will focus on helping people move through life changes and go from surviving to living. I’m here to better understand how my ADHD mind works, discover the strengths within it, and learn how to use it as a superpower while staying aligned with my purpose. Looking forward to learning and connecting with you all on this journey.
