Migrating from Facebook
I actually commented on someone else's post about this but I think it might more efficient to make an own post bout the subject. I have a large 33 K FB community. I want to do some kind of exit. Facebook is getting to difficult and I'm even worried about their AI removing my posts (as admin) for cyber security reasons ?!?! (Google Forms links) which might have consequences for my or the group's visibility. I'm dreaming of a smaller group or even groups (probably language variations or themes). I can't even talk about "migrating" the group. It's impossible. But to take the most committed ones to a subscription group would be the idea. I already got some ideas from here about how to structure and start the new group. I'm also learning about Skool and if it would be the right platform for me. Currently my digital products are on Podia. There are a few technical issues that might prohibit some loyal community members to migrate with me. The demographics is really wide, mostly women but all ages. Many of the not so young women are really sceptical about payment providers and not good with technology. Facebook is so familiar although also confusing. They don't want to give their credit card number to Stripe or use PayPal or something. Only our national banks' softwares are considered reliable. I'm still pretty active in the group trying not to use too much energy on it. But it's also my main marketing channel so I need to give some value. I'm an interactive doer and writing in the group works fine for me. My community members are incredibly loyal, but I'm not sure how they'd feel about a new platform. I guess I'll have to try and see. I have no idea how it will take to start the new one. Should I start building it with some early adaptors? It might be easier for me to build it while getting comments and reflections. Any reflections and ideas are welcome! Have a great eve! An old and short video for fun! ⬇️ https://youtu.be/12FIMvTKO64?si=qTYvGULR5XY9BOQZ

@Mariah Coz thanks for for thoughts! Yes, Facebook is definitely not sustainable. I wonder if it's possible to run the payments through Shopify and zap them to Skool. The payment system is not very Europe friendly as I've understood.

@Waqar Ahmed really good reflections. Thank you! My niche is sourdough baking and Finnish bread culture. The group is so well functioning that it's basically the only group in that subject in Finland.
Migrating to Skool from FB
Backstory: I have a large FB group of women in branding and I wanna move them here to a paid model. It’s been very difficult to serve, especially since I give so much, and I feel like the energy received on my end is no longer there. A couple days on Skool and I already love it. I know I can give more if my group is paid. Soooo…for those who’ve migrated a group here…got any tips for me?

@Abagail Pumphrey Have you started the process yet?
How to create an archive / recipe library?
Hello co-creators! I'm studying all about Skool before starting my own community. What would be the best way to create a "file section" / library for recipes? There would be new recipes coming all the time, but I'd like to have them easily found later. If every recipe is a new post it's a bit difficult to browse Ideas? Have a great day!

@Graham Waite True. Sourdough bread is so much better. I haven't seen the book you mentioned. It seems to have recipes with commercial yest. Nothing wrong with that and surely better than supermarket bread. But sourdough is a game changer. It's not really about recipes but the process. Some people say it takes time. I rather say it gives you time. Since my books haven't been translated I'd recommend this Norwegian book. It's beautiful, simple and you will get hooked on sourdough. Just remember that the taste of the bread is the most important. Everything else comes along the way. 🧡 Your skills will develop bread by bread and even the disasters are edible.😁

I really like your approach! 🟠 The way you create an alternative and flexible way to plan. 🟠 Accepting different energy levels and not being productive all the time. 🟠 Simplicity and seeing everything at one glance. This might work for me as well. Thanks for sharing! @Mariah Coz
