Pedals
Picked up the MXR Prime Distortion pedal and totally happy with it. I was not at all fond of my Maestro Invader. I also picked up a 1999 Epiphone Special II,,,,now I know it was supposed to be,,back then, a beginner's guitar,,,but dang it is heavy. I immediately changed the machine heads, put a nice pair of Seymour double pups in it, spent a full night setting it up, letting it sit and then the next night doing a final setup,,,WHAMMMMO!!! Now it is an extremely nice sounding guitar,,,truly. Funny thing,,,this one still has the 1999 Epiphone inspections/ setup sticker on the back of the head stock......not a collectors' item by any means, not worth much money by any means,,,,but this baby sounds killer now and plays like butter......

Community Product Progress Report 👀
We tallied the votes from everyone’s top 3 picks, and we officially have our winners… 🥇 #1 Modular Pedal Power Cable 🥈 #2 Universal Pedal Mount System 🥉 #5 Pedalboard Utility Hub This is a huge step. These are the ideas the community believes in most, and now the real behind-the-scenes work begins. Right now, we’re in the process of finding manufacturers who can help bring these ideas to life and running the numbers to understand real production costs. If anyone here has experience, connections, or advice on how to bring products like this to life, please share your thoughts. We want to leverage the amazing network we’re building together. In a perfect world, we’d love to develop all three products. But at this stage, our main focus is: • Sourcing the right manufacturing partners • Doing a full cost analysis • Figuring out what’s realistically possible first We’ll do our best to keep everyone in the loop as we move forward. Just know that things are officially in motion behind the scenes and we’re working to make this happen 🔥 In the meantime, we’re still collecting guitar phrases for our next community-designed t-shirt. If you haven’t already, head over to that post and share the phrase or design you’d love to see on a shirt. We’ll be voting on the ideas soon and bringing the winning design to life! Hey All,,,congrats to those 3 final picks. What an awesome feeling that has to be.
Confidence
What are some tips and tricks for beginners to gain confidence in their playing? For me I used to throw it to the wind and play at the public park, venues that allowed and let people know I was a beginner, etc. It was scary an nerve wracking but it helped build confidence and even when mistakes were made I kept going.

The advice I always give, is keep it in your mind that everyone starts the same. Some progress a little faster, some don't. BUT,,,,EVERYONE had to start, everyone was a beginner at one time. Learn your money chords; G C D (majors) Em and Am (minors), learn them and learn how to move in and out of them and different combinations of just those 5 chords will let you learn and play 100s of songs. Bunches of Pop Rock songs use Am G C D... just learn them, learn how to recognize them... I type too much....... Just remember, everyone was a beginner, and ALL OF US, practice new stuff every day.

@Taylor Parkhurst I think I mentioned before that my band got together and bought me a Vox AC10 15W tubed amp. I'm telling ya, I like it so much I went out right away and sold my Line 6 100W Catalyst,,,well,,I actually didn't sell it, I traded it to some guy for a1999 Epiphone Les Paul Limited, that still has the inspection and set up tag on the back of the headstock when it arrived here. I took it and dropped a pair of Seymour Duncan's in it and it screams,, back to the amp,,, sounds great
