Hand warm ups?
Due to my recent injuries in my hands from the auto accident, I’ve been wondering what do all of you do to loosen up strengthen and work with your hands or fingers when you’re not playing guitar to make them better? Give me some ideas of things I can do to help restrengthen my fingers. I tried playing three songs today and they hurt worse than I’ve ever experienced playing guitar!

I do stretches as well but the other thing I do is use the Jing Lu balls (the ones that you spin in one hand and they vibrate as you spin them). Using them has helped a lot over all as they help stretch my fingers when spinning them around but also making my hand be open with the width of them both.
Confidence
What are some tips and tricks for beginners to gain confidence in their playing? For me I used to throw it to the wind and play at the public park, venues that allowed and let people know I was a beginner, etc. It was scary an nerve wracking but it helped build confidence and even when mistakes were made I kept going.

@Donovan Wedding agreed! Practice is essential
Challenges
What are some challenges you faced when learning to play the guitar? For me it was learning the chords mostly. I am more mechanically inclined and have always had issues with learning chords, notes, etc. I learned by muscle memory and using visual guides on the neck of my bass. There were lots of times I wanted to give up and just put the guitar away, and plenty of times I did! However, I would always come back and start again.

@Jeremy Zudell for me I picked up the guitar officially at 37 and have been teaching myself via YouTube, apps, and jam sessions.

@Jeremy Zudell for sure! I admire the people who learned the old school way. As we advance I know that the technology will be even crazier in the future. I do enjoy old school methods of learning but visual cues help me learn better
Amps
I made a post about mini Amps the other day, now let’s talk about the “standard” size amps. What’s your go to for gigs, home, studio, etc? For me my go to is a classic: Line 6 Spider 2
