Ascend Pedalboard review
I’ve been really impressed with the Ascend Pedalboard from OmniGuitar. Even though it’s a compact 15-inch board, it’s surprisingly versatile. You can realistically fit 4–5 pedals depending on how your I/O is laid out—top-mounted jacks make a big difference. If everything is top-mounted, 5 pedals is totally doable; side jacks just 4.

I was able to comfortably fit five on mine: my Behringer TO800, Heavy Metal x Incendium, Hotone XTOMP, Boss DD5, and Rowin Looper Station, with room to experiment. I’ll keep my Line 6 ToneCore and iRig Stomp ready to swap in, or even run an alternate route using an AB pedal when I want to change things up. What really stands out is how practical it is. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and packs up quickly. Cable management is solid too—wires tuck away cleanly, so everything looks organized instead of cluttered. Overall, it’s a great compact solution if you want something portable without giving up flexibility.

Throwback. I RARELY film myself playing but for some reason I did that day. I miss that guitar. Anyways, just trying to put myself out there more. I really appreciate being welcomed to the community, the least I could do is embarrass myself a little lol

That was pretty awesome 🤘
Who has?
Just wondering how many of you have actually named your guitars? It’s something I’ve tried to do but I have a hard time with it not becoming weird or some overly complicated thing. So if you did. How did you go about it and what helps you in naming them? Sadly I have on named the one I made as the angel guitar because of the image in it.

I have not had a chance to name them all but yes I have named a guitar or two. I take a feature, the color, shape, or anything related to the guitar to name it. I keep it pretty simple, for example I won a Superman guitar at six flags Astroworld, it goes by several names; Clark/Clark Kent/Superman, or Astro. Or my Dr. Tech branded guitar is just Doc. Some just don’t have a name and some are still being considered. It’s fun but definitely not an easy task, in the end it is kinda rewarding. 🤘
Pedalboard? Or not to Pedalboard?
I realize this can be a real point of contention, as we are all extremely passionate about our personal preferences, especially when it comes to our rig, tone, or feel. That said, Pedalboard or no pedalboard? If not, is there a particular reason? If so, comment a pic of your board and I'm particularly interested in any drive pedals that you typically leave always on.. Mine is the Klon KTR or Paul Cochrane's "Tim." Thanks much, and keep on rock'n!- 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥

I recently got my Omni Ascend Pedalboard and will be using that for a while. Keeping things compact for now. The Behringer is a good starting point on my board but the two must have are the Heavy Metal and XTOMP. The XTOMP is just very flexible and versatile, so many pedals in one. And Heavy Metal just has a little place in my heart. 🤘

Love making music and trying out new sounds. I mostly play random stuff and sometimes it sounds good.
