Help?
I have a guitar I got in 1965. Itโ€™s an old Teisco MJ-2. I was 10 when my dad brought it back from being stationed in Japan. Tried to learn to play on it. When I realized you have to take time to learn. I took it apart to see how it worked. In the process, I jacked up the wiring and the pots. Over the last 60 years I tried to reattach the wires, but I know nothing about what goes where or why. Now I want to try to restore it, but I know nothing about how to wire it. (the wires from the pickups are in tact. The other wires are broken or disconnected). I need new pots and plan on ordering them as soon as I figure out what to buy. What I need is someone to show/tell me how to wire the pots, switchs, pickups and jack so that it works again. Hereโ€™s a similar picture of it. Mine has a different bridge/tailpiece which I want to replace. Just got a new nut and the neck is straight. Need wiring help.

Project guitars
Iโ€™m looking at getting a cheap guitar off of Amazon and upgrading it. Iโ€™m just apprehensive about it and am wondering if there are problems I have yet to plan for. Anyone tried this recently? If so what problems did you run into? The guitar Iโ€™m looking at: https://a.co/d/ea6Q5Qo Update: I ended up finding a Jackson DKAF7 at one of my local guitar centers and am going to go with that. Itโ€™s about half the retail price and I am way more confident in its quality. Gonna trade some guitars in and get me a Jackson!
Humbucker screws keep backing off
Any bright ideas on how to remedy this? The height-adjustment screws on my Telecaster humbuckers keep slowly backing off, lowering the humbuckers away from the strings, particularly the bridge pickup on the bass side. I put some foam squares in the cavities below the humbuckers thinking that'd help counteract some of the tension on the springs, but it's still happening particularly during gigs. This picture is immediately after a gig. I literally adjusted the pickup height right before the gig and you can see that it dropped significantly on the bass side. Should I try swapping out the springs with ones that have less tension? Put some thread locker on the screws to hold them place? Any advice much appreciated!

Copper foil
Does anyone dig into their guitars and add copper foil under the electronics to help with interference? Is it worth it? Are there downsides? Seems like a pretty inexpensive modification, but Iโ€™ve never done itโ€ฆ.yet.
Nashville Super Tele?
Haha, not sure what to call it, but I'm really happy with how this mod turned out. Push-push coil split on the humbuckers, 5-way Strat-style switch. All 3 pickups are Tonerider upgrades (Birmingham humbuckers and City Limits single coil), and I did a variation on the coil split where instead of sending inner coils straight to ground, you use a partial-split resistor to ground (hat tip to Fralin Pickups blog for the idea!).
