Monday!!
Hey everyone! Well, it was another tough night here (fevers and restless sleep) but I managed to sleep until almost 6 (needed it!!!!) And I was able to get myself to spin class because Glenn’s mom came to watch Wesley. I also shoveled the whole sidewalk and both the cars out + cleaned them off before we left (me to spin and Glenn to work) so it was a pretty active day. Spent the afternoon with my little man and also meal prepping (turkey soup for dinner). We wound up at the doctor to test for strep (negative) and now I feel like the virus may be starting with me 😔 Going to play it by ear—hopefully I’ll see you all in the gym tomorrow! 🤞🏼

Oh man. There is so much stuff going around right now! Hope you all get healthy soon!
Sunday Reflection
This week felt more controlled than chaotic which was a positive change. I had all my meals prepped or planned which took a lot of daily stress off my plate. I made some positive choices this weekend that aligned with my goals but gave some way for flexibility. With the extra day off tomorrow, I plan to meal prep my breakfasts and lunches for the rest of the week and put dinner in the crock pot. My movement hasn’t been the greatest and my water intake should be more, so that is something I will try to focus on more this week by keeping a large water bottle filled with me and scheduling a time for a daily workout.
Reflection
Around Thursday/Friday, I found myself wanting to start my old habits again. I was exhausted from my first week back to work, my dinner plan on Thursday night didn’t go as planned as my thawed meat did not taste right, so I felt defeated just from that small inconvenience. My ankle and leg have been bugging me again, so I didn’t get as much movement in as I would have liked. By Friday night, I was ready to go out to dinner and have a nice, cold beer. But I didn’t give up. I’m still learning and I’m still adjusting. I remembered my why. I remembered my goals. I remembered it’s not going to be perfect. So Thursday night, I meal planned and did a grocery order to pick up Friday after work. That is going to be my go to plan. Meal plan sometime during the week, do a grocery order and pick up on my way home from work Friday so I have everything I need to prep for the week. Yesterday, we did a planned trip to a brewery. I didn’t over drink. I did samples and only ate when I felt hungry. I drank lots of water and let myself enjoy. Today, I already have dinner in the crockpot, and I meal prepped my lunches and breakfasts for the week. I am feeling hopeful and optimistic that this group will help me stick with my goals to make them a habit. Here’s to a great week everyone!
Non-negotiable
My non-negotiable is to prep my breakfasts and lunches for work.
Something different
Day 2 - not really getting into this new program but need to give it sometime. Todays reflection - when things get rough and I feel like giving in I have tendency to pull back and hide in shadows and my habit change up is to lean in even on bad days and ask for help and support ( which is hard to do as a “fixer”). Anyone relate ????

This is 💯 me. Vulnerability is one of my weaknesses, but I am going to try to put myself out there as well.
