Hi, @Sam Ovens I have a team that consists of all millennials that are refusing to move to Skool till we could respond with different Emojis. One of them went as far as saying that "it is a fundamental violation of freedom of speech if we can't respond to a post with different emojis." Another felt that "freedom of expression in the community would be severely limited." Now I agree that Emojis do not contribute to learning but they may strongly contribute to creating a "group feel". I am told that as a Gen X, I just don't get it. Is it possible at all that we could consider adding a feature at some point in the future of responding with different Emojis a la Slack?
@Sam Ovens Thank you. I got it. We wanted to ask. We are fans and moving to Skool soon. What is awesome is that you guys are listening and building Skool together with educators. We are looking forward to the experience.
@Shelby Johnson Yep - we moved our business to Skool and have gotten used to the thumbs up. But this would still be nice to have for my younger teammates.
I am sorry Sam. Did not mean to ignore this but we are deeply tied in with the game-plans we built during WeTubeSS and just very tight on time and resources. The strategy of going from free community to paid course ($24k per year) did not work out. Our free community is growing and we are getting direct interest in the paid and that is growing. We are talking with key members of our free community altWork to figure out the value we produce to see if it makes sense to charge or just close the free community. @Mareya Ali, let's nail this soon. I'd like to participate in this membership challenge by Sam.
Hi Skool Team, We have a couple of extremely over-enthusiastic posters (experienced people from our topic background) in the community, posting more than other members, therefore sort of taking over the entire look and feel of the community, which intimidates newcomers. How do we fix it? Make a rule about how many posts are allowed per week. Could this be a feature to consider to bring maturity and moderation ability to communities? Like a setting how you only allow admins to send email every few days. Max Posts Per Member Per Week: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or No Limit Like max new posts per week or per day allowed from non-admin members. Or design a way to suppress/give lower priority to some posts? Is anyone else running into this?
Yesterday the Skool team met up for lunch, go-karting, and dinner. We have 20 people now! People spend 1,200,000 hours on the platform every month. And that number is growing fast! We're excited to show you what we've been building. Some of the biggest features we've ever released are coming out in the next 30-60 days. Things are about to get exciting!
