Day in and day out my ads get bombarded with negative comments about coaching I get tired of people commenting negative things. how all coaches just want to make money etc Coaching is a scam etc Making money is not why I decided to become a coach. There is nothing wrong with making money from coaching However, if it is the most important factor to you as a coach You are most likely going to fail. . . Money is a by-product of being an amazing coach. Money is a by-product of being able to create amazing transformations with clients The truth is most coaches/consultants are just not that good at the skill of coaching

Thought Make Things Real. What Do You Attract?
What you believe is what you will create because belief determines what you will think. What you think will determine how you act and how you act will determine your life results.

How are you navigating through this "Expert Coach Community"?
How do you feel within this community? What do you experience on here in contact with people? What are the key aspects for you to manage in a way that feels good? (English is not my mothertongue, so just ask me if my words are not guiding you through my thoughts in a way that you can follow) For me I have been here for I guess something like 36 hours and it's been quite a rollercoaster ;) So I want to share a bit about my experience: -People on here are very engaged and most of them are out for real contact and exchange (from what I perceive) which I LOVE in comparison to social media! -I feel some (time-)pressure in the air (but mostly within myself hehe) >In my case I want to slow down from "I really need to unlock this course" to " I will unlock it soon enough and I want to really enjoy and get the fullest out of the contact-engagement that i CHOOSE to have" -> I don't want to go around and spread my time and energy on everything but only the things that feel exciting / reasonable / interesting -I ned to set boundaries: >Consciously decide when I log in and when I log off - clear time window. >Be considerate about the content that I share openly: It's not like my facebook page where only my friends can see my posts - these people are not my friends per se. I don't know anyone on here personally and I never know who will understand/interpret what in what way and how they decide to communicate it. It might be triggering me more than when I'd be in a discussion with a friend because I have no clue who they are and why they act like this. OF COURSE this is a crucial skill to learn for coachting: to be able to set away my triggers and know that every person has a good reason for how they behave. But it's even harder on here when I don't see the person. I would love to hear about your opinions and perceptions, and also if you can relate to my sharing in some way. Have a good time! Silja

Mindful self regulation
Waking up this morning, I yearned to stay in bed, my body and mind felt tired and I know I was walking into a very long busy 14 hour day. So with that I decided to engage in mindful self-regulation, to see if it could swith my brain from being in a state of " please let me stay in bed" to "watch out I am coming for you." Wow is all I have to say. By giving myself permission to listen to some dnacemusoc, engage in some affirmations, gratitude followed by breathe work it literally energised me for the whole day. I literally bounced from meeting to meeting and felt I had cmairt and control. Mindful self regulations strategies come in all shapes and sizes they really can be highly effective, if you if s ones that woel for you. It simply involves being aware of your thoughts and emotions without judgment, allowing for better emotional control and decision-making. If we give ourselves permission to create space to engage in egular practices they can really contribute to reduced stress, improved focus, and overall well-being. What strategies work for you that put you in your best overall state?

Does any one have a opinion on clients cancellations do we accept, charge a cancellation fee, or let it go? Or something else completely? What is your policy or if your not seeing clients yet what do you think is the best way forward?

What I would have loved to know when I was NEW HERE🚀
I have been thinking about making this post lately, now that we are so many new people here in this loving, encouraging, supportive and uplifting community that Ed have created! First and foremost, welcome to you new people, hope you are ready to get some insights from the rest of the community, open to be inspired, get AHA-moments and eye openers!❤️ 1. Get to know the gamification - here in Skool you level up by contributing with posts, comments and likes, the culture here is really engaging and we like each others posts and comments - so that we can get the points to level up.📈 2. If you want to move quickly, then what I personally came to realize is to have an ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER for the course, someone that you either are inspired by, want to spend time with, or that you feel you can grow with.🚀💪 3. Practice, practice, practice - find someone or a few to practice with within the group - this is a HUGE advantage for you, to be the better coach when you get your first clients! Personally I WISH I HAD DONE THIS FROM START!💬 4. Take notes, write down the golden nuggets that you get along with the course and also take notes on the course. I started taking notes from comments, and I wish that I did it even more, when looking back.🗒️ 5. Believe in yourself, this have been a LIFE CHANGER for me, in my own apperance - and I know that this will be for some of you guys too!🙏 And remember, we are in the greatest community, we have supportive admins and awesome ''classmates''❤️

What a bad habit, but what a MILESTONE! Now I need help!
My dearest coaches and community family! In Denmark we have a VERY bad habit with alcohol, I don't know if any of you have heard about that - it is called drinking from a young age and basicly leave your brain at home on the weekends! But I recently started to test my own program, about creating new habits, and today I have been 20 days without consuming alcohol AND sugar, and wow, I am proud! My issue now, and what I NEED HELP with is this - I have another bad habit that is called nicotine(UNFORTUNETLY!!!) I now need some advice from you beloved people on how to get rid of nicotine the LEAST painful way, without mistreating my partner, my friends and family in the need of nicotine. (because that I AM AFRAID OF). So if you are someone who have consumed nicotine, or know someone who stopped, what did you/they do? My challenge about NO NICOTINE starts in 5 days!

Coaching Children?
Hi! What do you think about coaching children (10-12 years) after this method? I have a friend who’s 12 year old son has a bunch of limiting beliefs, is it ok to take a mild approach with this method on the boy? Please elaborate what you think😊

Want Clarity and More Confidence?
Getting clear on niche, audience, ideal client, marketing message, vision, purpose, the desired outcome clients, the desired outcome for you... etc! These are all essential, especially these days but it's not easy. It's tough. It takes time and a lot of contemplation, soul searching, and conversations. The answers are within you but it's not always easy to discover or believe. This document is not the answer for everyone but it may be exactly what you need. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZB5ttByU8Y9mQfiNC2i0CRBrVjSeAEOONSA8gmbhHiE/edit?usp=sharing Take your time with it. Feel free to ask questions and I'll be happy to do a video walkthrough if anyone is interested. By the way, this is all free, I don't do any business or consulting work anymore. I just feel the pain many of you are experiencing with a lack of clarity, focus, and confidence. I've been there. I've met some great coaches who have also been there. If you are stuck and not clear - you're not alone. It's common. So yeah, have a look, answer what you can. Ask for any guidance. Onwards and upwards!!

First session done...WOOHOOOOO Pat on back woman. Self reflection.
After some flapping around about pre session questions and questions we are actually meant to use in the session...Everything was a bit last minute.com and my person didn't have time to respond to the email I sent... All good, at least I have that email template created now! WOohOO. The sessions went really very well. My person was so open and dived in really deep. And she started the session feeling tired and anxious and described a sense of weight on her shoulders. She said that she wanted to experience more peace. And she ended the session with a sense of awe - her face looked so sparkly! ''I feel myself so calm, peaceful and light''. The questions, whether they are considered pre-session or not are so delicious aren't they? And I followed them as religiously as I could because I wanted to understand their power and impact. I have done a lot of different types of trainings and it would be easy for me to let myself follow that path. But I love the idea of repeatable results and I truly think a lot of the work comes from the richness of the questions and our presence and capacity to listen, however we can. I also decided to read back a lot of the responses she made to each question because each response was so clear and packed with nutrients. What I love about any kind of client work honestly is that moment where I just feel so honoured to peek into somebody's internal universe and discover something of how rich and complicated they are and how essentially brave human beings are. Do we even see ourselves I wonder? And if we did the love would be uncontainable. In any case, because I am also an embodiment teacher I do give more space to allowing FEELings to be present..because they are literally there in the room being felt but often not openly acknowledged and they are part of the juice of transformation. Whether it is sadness, joy, exhilaration etc it is an extension of LISTENING and not rushing through on auto pilot...which coincidentally I was worried I would do!

Accepting Yourself
Lift me up, against the raging tides within the deep of night. Lift me up, in the morning light where wishes are as wet as dew. Lift me up, into your eyes where failure is never an issue. Lift me up, to heights unending, like the stars trickling lights of old. Lift me up, into the palms of your heart where our feet mixed into wondrous colours. Lift me up, into the strength of your unwavering arms and my doubts will melt like the first light of spring's spectacular gaze. I am down because my world is flattening when you go. I am down because the veil of darkness blinds away the light of my sight. I am down within the deep mouth of chaos and poignancy. I am down because I am pregnant with the fallacy of freedom when the pastures before me are twisted with madness. I am down where dreams dare not whisper possibilities within the eyes of stale inertia. I am down with the weighing chains of my past pulling me away from the happiness my fingers grasp. I now see the mirror within my eyes drowning out my sad reflections of old. I now see the mad cries melted away like horrific ice in the deep winter chill. I now see useless words chipping away from my soul leaving only the ones that matter. I now see the loud silence haunting my steps waiting to echo my most inner fears to the ears of the waking world. I now see myself rising to become whole and stronger with all my edges chipped away and filled with eroded holes for the first light, to peek through my truth. I am me, and I am greater still because I am the driver of all that I carry into the marrows of the meandering rivers, of life's capricious nature. I accept all the bad and the good for they are with me and they’re me. T D Martin

Talk Talk Talk Listen Listen Listen
Reflections on coaching and why listening can be hard, but necessary sometimes. In the realm of coaching, there's a powerful yet uncomfortable practice that often gets overlooked—the art of letting the client speak without interruption. I know, whaaaat? It's so hard and I am out of practice my friends. What I notice and hope is useful to share here is that my own capacity to truly listen is impacted upon by how much I feel heard in my own regular life and how much time I have spent being present to my life - focused and attentive. If I am feeling scattered, and, I have been, then it takes a conscious effort to honour the coaching process and tune IN to whoever is in front of me and not let my motor mouth run riot. Luckily it is like muscle memory - but I am much more scattered than I was a few years ago, so I have to play close attention to this aspect of myself that has grown during the pandemic and beyond! Work with clients, has always brought the best out in me because in general, so many of us, could do with listening to others more. Shifting from I need to be heard - to I hear you can be deeply satisfying. And just recently I've been reminded of the profound impact that my own silence can have on the coaching dynamic when it is filled with my silence and that is filled with the act of listening. The reason to hone this skill then is not simply to refrain from giving unhelpful, poorly informed advice or jumping in with solutions before a client has offloaded their thought and provided the whole context; it's about creating a space where the client feels truly heard and this in turn will help them hear themselves and the innate wisdom that lives within them. And of course there is discomfort sometimes in holding back from finding solutions isn't there? I am convinced also that the discomfort arises when we, as coaches, find ourselves out of the habit of genuine listening and of feeling listened to also. If we are lonely, if I am, then my ability to think clearly and listen is affected. Which is why in my own coaching sessions my focus has been on getting me out into the world to make new friends and form new habits. I feel brighter and more capable and am convinced I think smarter when I have had my social cup filled up.

Limiting beliefs, do you know what yours are?
Hi you😊 I've written down the limiting belief breaking script, and while I'm doing this, I just can't think of any big limiting beliefes I have anymore. Now, I know they are there, otherwice I wouldn't be where I'm at, but rather where I want to be😁 So clearly they exists, I just can't get a hold of them right now😅 Am I the only one, or do you feel like this as well? Do you have your limiting beliefs under controll? Do you know which one is holding you back?❤️
