The moon was stunning last night. Made the brutal 9 degree temperatures more bearable.
Weekly Qi / Qi & Flow 12.2.25
In today's session, we went over: - 8 pieces of brocade with variations — focused on winter element (water) practices and supporting kidney health through breathwork, mobility, and internal heat. - Lifting the Sky, Archer, Wise Owl, Bear, and Punching with Fierce Gaze — emphasized proper alignment, smooth transitions, and connecting body lines with relaxed stretching. - Practiced breath-connected movements, ankle rockers, gentle twisting, and standing meditation for grounding. - Beijing 24 Form — focused on standing postures, transitioning between hand shapes, and the mechanics behind Wuji, holding the cauldron, and basic arm positions. - Explored empty/full, open/close, and how to coordinate breath with movement. The last live sessions have been uploaded to the classroom if you haven’t checked them out yet. See you on Thursday!

New Course Coming Soon "8 Pieces of Brocade (八段锦 Bāduànjǐn)"
Get ready for our upcoming qigong course: The 8 Pieces of Brocade (八段锦 Bāduànjǐn) — one of the most beloved and time-tested practices in all of Chinese health culture. Dating back nearly a thousand years to the Song Dynasty, this sequence was created to strengthen the body, nourish the organs, and support everyday vitality. The name “brocade” refers to fine, elegant silk — a reminder that these movements weave health and energy through the body as beautifully and smoothly as woven cloth. At its core, the philosophy of the 8 Pieces of Brocade is simple: gentle, mindful movements can create powerful change when practiced with intention. Each piece focuses on a different function of the body — from opening the lungs and improving digestion to calming the mind and supporting the kidneys. Together, they form a complete system that balances strength and softness, grounding and lightness, effort and ease. A steady practice can help you feel centered, energized, and deeply connected from the inside out. Stay tuned. Stay rooted. Stay open🌱

Happy Thanksgiving🍂
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Today’s a great day to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and remember how lucky we are to simply breathe… and be alive😌 May your Qi stay smooth, your heart stay soft, and your joints stay just loose enough to reach for that extra slice of pie!! (You know I will with zero guilt) Grateful for all of you and the energy you bring to this community 🙏
Happy Thanksgiving🍂

Got my fat pants on. Plus 10” of snow in NE Ohio so far. Just started at 5:00 pm.
It’s all in the little things
This is me “behind the scenes” practicing along with you. During practice today I cued into Sonny’s direction to feel the up and down with the swirl. This along with turning the waist, really helped me feel my body creating the swirl versus just the arms. What cues or movements are impacting you guys lately?
