I’m exploring a shift in how I use Skool and would love feedback from you all!
I currently have 21 members in my Skool community from when I launched it as free. Only about 5 are actively engaging (5 real club members, 2 paying members). However, a few of the free members hop in from time to time but they do not feel ‘invited’ to engage, so they don’t.
I’m considering repositioning Skool as a free community layer in my funnel — consistent light-touch content (worksheets, prompts, questions 1–2x/week) to build connection and trust — and then offering paid upgrades for being part of club- live calls, full skool classroom for my club, and higher-touch coaching.
I’m already growing my email list through in-person events, and inviting those leads into a free Skool space feels like a natural next step for deepening engagement rather than doing a facebook group.
For those who’ve tested free community → paid upgrade pathways: Did Skool perform well as the free hub? Any pitfalls or best practices I should consider?
